The trash we "throw away" doesn't disappear.it ends up in the ocean where it poses a major hazard for marine life. Sea birds, turtles, seals, and other animals can mistake floating plastic for food or become tangled in it and die T he first step in making a difference is learning about the ocean and how your actions have an impact. The threats faced by our ocean planet may seem overwhelming. In the face of pollution, climate change, overfishing, and other daunting problems, what you can do on your own may seem like a drop in the bucket. But if we begin working together now, we can make a huge difference. Here are some ways to get started

Kids for saving oceans Promote Environmental Education for Children Ecokids You don't need to be a teacher to promote environmental education for children. In the classroom of life, we are all teachers, and we are all students. If you don't have children of your own, offer to help a grandchild, niece, nephew, or a friend or neighbor's child. First we need to teach our kids why oceans are important in the first place.larimar association works with children associations and school by raising them to be environmentally aware and by getting involved in projects and events, such as World Ocean Day, every one can make a difference. in such an events, each child receives a Citizen of the Ocean passport, sign of their commitment as young ambassadors of the blue planet, and involved in the protection of the Ocean. A special thanks to all our partners that help us to organize this huge event in favor of the ocean

the celebration of world oceans day is important to show the beauty and the importance of the oceans. this year 2014 larimar celebrated the world ocean day in the province of ain timouchent madrid. the celebration of this day is to develop a worldwide movement of citizen, towards the Ocean and to remind everyone of the major part the Ocean has in everyday life. They are the lungs of our planet, providing most of the oxygen we breathe. Special thanks to all members and the colloboraion of madrid and beni saf citizens

the marine world with fresh eyes.

WHY THE OCEAN? we are all connected to oceans and we don t need to live near the beach to be connected to the ocean. The ocean plays a critical role in removing carbon from the atmosphere and providing oxygen. It regulates Earth's climate. The ocean is an increasingly important source of biomedical organisms with enormous potential for fighting disease. SAVE THE OCEANS The seas and oceans of the world represent the largest source of biodiversity on the entire planet. Ranging from exotic sea life, mammals, and plant life from the largest blue whale to the smallest algae, and many of the creatures are in peril and facing extinction.

Without the ocean, in fact, there would no be life on the planet

Larimar Association MAKE THE CONNECTION Education is the key to our success,we believe that with your help we can really make a profound difference.

Pollution In The Ocean Eighty percent of pollution of the marine environment comes from the land. One of the biggest sources is called nonpoint source pollution, which occurs as a result of runoff. Nonpoint source pollution includes many small sources, like septic tanks, cars, trucks, and boats, plus larger sources, such as farms, ranches, and forest areas. Millions of motor vehicle engines drop small amounts of oil each day onto roads and parking lots. Much of this, too, makes its way to the sea THANK YOU SURFRIDER
