Experience has shown us that our customers needed a simple to use, lightweight practical flowmeter for simple flow measurement applications, precisely what the KATflow 200 does. The KATflow ultrasonic flowmeter range also benefit from a number of new features, including a graphical display providing the user with more information on the meter, a diagnostic screen with digital oscilloscope function and real-time graphs of the flow data. The instruments feature a new intelligent sensor location function intended to make correct sensor positioning easier than it has ever been. Flowhire s Katflow 200 flowmeters are supplied with extended 100,000 point data loggers and integral wall thickness probe to make it a complete pipe survey tool and to assist with the accurate installation of the meter. The ultrasonic sensors used with the KATflow 200 are manufactured with a stainless steel head and cable conduit for extreme robustness. In contrast to its hand-held couterpart, the KATflow 230 offers two measurement channels which enable the instrument to monitor two pipes simultaneously. The KATflow 230 also offers a heat quantity measurement function that turns the instrument into a portable energy meter. The KATflow 230 incorporates measured flow and temperature values delivered by two PT100 sensors into heat flow and heat quantity this is valuable information to assess the efficiency of heat exchangers and HVAC systems. Flowhire s KATflow 230 flowmeters are supplied with extended 100,000 point data loggers with each measurement comprising up to 10 units (velocity, volume, mass, heat flow, heat quantity and temperature units) which can be selected by the user before each measurement. In combination with a data logger, the KATflow 230 is supplied with the KATdata+ software which enables the user to download and visualise the flow data on a computer after the measurement or in real-time using the embedded terminal function. The data can be transferred via RS 232 or USB. The ultrasonic sensors cover a pipe diameter range from 10mm to 3000mm and process temperatures from 3 to +200 C with special options for more demanding applications. The Prosonic Flow ultrasonic clamp-on system allows accurate and cost-effective flow measurement from outside the pipe and without the need to interrupt the process. The flow measurement is bidirectional and causes no pressure loss. Performance The measured error depends on a number of factors. A distinction is made between the measured error of the device (Prosonic Flow 93T = 0.5% of the measured value) and an additional installation-specific measured error (typically 1.5% of the measured value) that is independent of the device.
