If patient is not breathing, start artificial respiration immediately. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a physician if necessary. If spilt on the skin, remove contaminated clothing and wash affected areas of skin immediately. If concentrate is splashed in eyes, flush with running water for at least 15 minutes. Storage Store in the closed, original container in a dry, well ventilated area, as cool as possible out of direct sunlight and under lock and key. Keep from contact with fertilisers, fungicides and seeds. Do not store with Classes 1,2,3.2,4 or 5 substances. Stores containing more than 100kg of this product, either alone or in aggregate with other hazardous substances are subject to requirement of an emergency management response plan, secondary containment and signage. 8. Causes severe conjunctivitis, mild moderate corneal clouding and moderate iritis. Low toxicity through this route. May cause irritation. May cause irritation, low toxicity through this route. 4 Chronic Effects None established for formulated product. Hexazinone: In a 2-year feeding study in rats (90% powder), the NOEL was 200 ppm a.i.; nutritional and body weight effects were seen in females at 1,000 ppm a.i. and in both sexes at 2,500 ppm a.i. Biochemical effects were noted in both sexes at 2,500 ppm a.i. In a 2-year feeding study in mice (tech. material), the NOEL was 200 ppm; non-neoplastic liver effects were noted in males at 2,500 ppm and in both sexes at 10,000 ppm. In a 90-day feeding study (tech. material), the NOEL was 1,000 ppm; slight nutritional, body weight, and biochemical effects were seen at 5,000 ppm. In a 3-generation, 3-litter study with 90% powder, no adverse reproduction or lactation effects were seen at any level; slightly depressed average weaning weights were noted in the second and third litters at 2,500 ppm only. Not teratogenic or embryo-fetal toxic to rats by dietary administration at levels as high as 5,000 ppm, the highest dose tested, or to rabbits by gavage at levels as high as 125 mg/kg/day, the highest dose tested. Not mutagenic in Ames bacterial assay, Chinese hamster ovary cell point mutation assay, or rat liver DNA repair assay; positive in the in vitro Chinese hamster ovary cell cytogenetic assay but negative in the in vivo rat bone marrow cytogenetic assay.
