The Cartridge is the Solution Extends Carbon Bed Life utilizes PEACH GOLD Technology developed for EXTREME applications such as filtering amine and glycol. This unique product contains three complex filter zones (figure 1). Zone 1 contains as many as four engineered filter media that are interlaid in a conical helix stucture creating radial, axial, and helical flow patterns (figure 2) trapping large particles and absorbing immiscible hydrocarbon. Zone 2 (The Shock Zone) is the anular pocket between Zone 1 and 2. This area creates a dynamic shock that kinetically challenges contaminants and rectifies the fluid flow as it enters the final zone of EXTREME filtration. Zone 3 is constructed of as many as four engineered filter media with smaller fibers designed to trap the smallest and most elusive of the targeted contaminants. truly takes amine filtration to its EXTREME. This extraordinary product challenges the most EXTREME contaminants and is engineered to provide longer on-stream life with low or differential FIELD APPLICATION Amine Unit in Midwest Refinery The pleated element used by the refiner did not effectively remove hydrocarbon contaminants. An oil sheen was left in the amine and the refiner was changing the elements more frequently than desired. When the pleated elements were removed from service, the outer netting was loose and had even separated from the end cap in at least one location. These elements were replaced with the element with comparable efficiency. The PEACH element lasted about 30% longer than the pleated element that the refiner had been using. The element also removed hydrocarbon contaminants in the first stage of the filter and eliminated the sheen in the amine. This means larger contaminants are retained by outer layers while smaller contaminants are blocked at the inner layers.
