9 PROJECT DESCRIPTION The overall objectives will be: The capture of existing best practices and lessons learnt through other initiatives (CWIP, R2RW, ENACT etc) within Jamaica in particular Portland to create an effective Watershed Area Management Mechanism (WAMM) To develop transfer methodologies to allow for replication of these lessons to adjacent Watershed Management Units (WMUs) and other Caribbean SIDS

Successful demonstrations of mitigation approaches to standard watershed threats and impacts with community support for replication 6. Identification of an active process for the transfer and replication of lessons from Eastern Protland to othre Jamaican watersheds
