9 Second Call Thematic focus: Restrictions for SO 2.1!!! Flood prevention Water quality management but fluvial and sediment management, water resource management and usage without flood prevention or water quality focus not supported No restrictions for SO 2.4
10 Second Call SO expected results Integrated plans and solutions to: protect and enhance the status of all waters monitoring and management of ecological, chemical status measures to reduce pollution more efficient waste water treatment manage sediment quality coordinate flood prevention measures (before flooding - to avoid / reduce effects) joint monitoring, forecasting, alert systems and measures harmonised, sustainable flood prevention measures
11 Second Call SO 2.1 Focus Integrated plans and solutions: focused on river(basin)s, water bodies of transnational relevance mainly solutions, tools (monitoring, forecasting, decision support ) connected to (existing) water / flood management policy frameworks, strategies, plans taking into consideration existing initiatives, results (e.g. of ICPDR, other projects)
12 Second Call SO expected results strategic and operational cooperation and interoperability among emergency response authorities and stakeholders professional emergency response services to respond to major national and international emergencies improved exchange of information based on common data observation capacities, and mechanisms
13 SO 2.4 environmental risk management SO 2.4 focus protection of ecosystems, biodiversity, including human health in relation to environmental emergency situations of transnational relevance (droughts, floods, forest fires, extreme weather, industrial accidents.) flood protection (managing emergency situation and aftermath disaster management cycle), but not directly flood prevention (SO 2.1 although as additional element possible) addressing single / multi-risks (clearly identified type of risks) climate change only as additional factor of specific environmental risks tools (monitoring, decision support, etc.) & trainings of civil protection teams in connection to joint emergency response strategies, plans complement initiatives of Member States and Commission
