22 Conclusions Recommendations All committees and groups of ISO (and CEN) are expected to contribute to sustainable development There is no common understanding or definition of sustainability issues in ISO or CEN ISO and the 37 social responsibility issues are presently the best offer in the standards shop Hopefully Guide 82 will help clarify and harmonize And hopefully ISO will decide also to harmonize certified SR and publish ISO The interactions between the three pillars of sustainability should also be included, not the individual pillars per se The overall protection areas are people (human health) and planet (natural environment and natural resources) profit is a mean and profit should be understood as societal economy, not only as private economy stock exhange is not leading to sustainability
