27 Usable Waste for Gasification Usable Biomass - Waste from vegetal oil industry - Chicken manure - Coco nut waste - Sludge from paper industry - Wood chips (dust) - Etc Other usable waste - WWTP sludge - Grinded tires - Residential waste - Coke - Etc 180 years Old technology
28 What is coke oven gas? Coke oven gas forms as a by-product when producing coke Lignite or black coal are heated in a coke oven. At ºC the pyrolysis process starts under the absence of oxygen. There are different processes available, with or without oxygen and with fresh water injection use to increase the gas quality Besides tar the so called coke oven gas is created The high dust, tar and contaminant concentrations make a laborious preconnected gas processing necessary 1 tonne of coal results in ~280 m³ of coke oven gas
29 Genset / Engine 5 x CG x TBG 632 V16 (previous version of CG260-16) Segment / Fuel Type Electricity / Special Gas and Coke Oven Gas Customer / Operator The Italiana Coke SpA, Italy Total Output 25.0 MWe Commissioning/Extension 1998/2010 Italiana Coke SpA The leading Italian coking factory Italiana Coke SpA produces about 500,000 tons of coke per year. Due to the good experiences with Caterpillar four old engines were changed against five new CG Summarizing the whole power plant system generates 25.0 MWe power.
