NATURAL MAGNESIUM CHLORIDE SOLUTION EFFECTIVE SOLUTION AGAINST ICING ON ROAD
NATURAL MAGNESIUM CHLORIDE SOLUTION Production Facilities Bolluk Lake - Cihanbeyli - KONYA
NATURAL MAGNESIUM CHLORIDE SOLUTION The presence of snow and ice in the winter, leads restriction of daily activities and accidents on the highways, bridges, viaducts, roads and the pavements. At the airports, iced runways lead to complete air traffic stop. Thus; to ensure a more secure traffic condition, to reduce delays and the accidents, to increase the safety of the pedestrians, a variety of applications in the removal of snow and ice are maintained. Despite substantial investment in our country, still crude salt and rock salt are sprinkled on the roads as an old habit in every year for this purpose. At about 20 years ago developed countries have abandoned this inefficient and environmentally harmful practice which leads the vehicles rust and corrosion and giving serious damage to the road surface and asphalt. Salt, under a certain coldness (- 120 C) cannot fulfill a fully term fighting with icing, snow and ice removal cannot fully ensured despite of all these expenses and incurred losses. In the developing world during the winter for an advance and efficient fight with snow and icing, chemical substances which does not cause any rust and corrosion on vehicles and not harmless to concrete and asphalt and has no hazardous elements for plants and organisms are applied. Magnesium Chloride Solution is the most effective and the most advantageous of these chemical substances has been used during the harsh winter months to prevent and protect ice of the roads in America, Scandinavia, Canada, and Europe as well as in developed countries for many years. Magnesium Chloride which was imported until today by paying very high costs is produced in natural methods in solution and flakes form thorough studies done in Alkim factory.
PRODUCT ADVANTAGES Until -44 C (minus forty-four degrees centigrade) are effective. The crude salt and rock salt with a maximum efficiency is at - 12 C. As is known in Anatolia during the winter at night the temperature fall under - 12 C. The differences between daytime temperature and night temperature must always be considered. The vast majority of accidents are caused by frost during the night hours and in the morning. Depending on weather and traffic conditions that with the correct application of Magnesium Chloride is effective between hours, thus, keeps its efficiency for longer periods up to 4 times more than conventional crude salt - rock salt application. Eco-friendly, will not harm Human health, plants and any living creature. There is no corrosive effect. Vehicles are not harmed. Have no adverse effect on road surface, concrete and asphalt. After the application, there is no need for road maintenance. Does not adversely affect road surface coefficient of friction. While the ice melts on the surface layer, prevents the formation of new ice. This is of great importance in the prevention of traffic accidents. Provide a huge cost advantage and ease of application on the labor and equipment. Can be applied very quickly at a low cost. Can be used as de-icing and anti-icing. Applying before the snow and ice formation the efficiency will be high. ADVANTAGES OF LOGISTICS We can continuously deliver by tanker trucks from Cihanbeyli - Konya to all over Turkey. Can be kept in depot or tank for a long time, dispatch can be made at any time at the desired amount plus the cost of inventory is not required. Provides a significant price advantage compared to other Ice Solvents.
APPLICATION FORM AND DOSAGE In practice, should be noted that, the melted ice water by the solution (Magnesium Chloride) may dilute the concentration. Therefore a dosage application to thickness of 1 cm to 2 cm thick ice layer, are different from each other. Off course, it is the same thing applies to the old classic crude salt procedure. However, the application of raw salt have been made for many years, the workers immediately increase the amount of salt according to thickness of ice or on the severity of snow. According to conventional use of applied salt spreading method is much easier and advantageous in terms of cost. Because the product is liquid, if applied to the surface by spraying, a homogeneous application is achieved. Can be scattered fast and uniform on the road surface. The solution is moisture retentive, with forming a layer of film, clings to the road, does not leak out from the surface. Magnesium Chloride containing our product, unlike brine, does not harm the surface of the asphalt and the vehicles. Magnesium Chloride Applications
THE MAIN BENEFITS IF MAGNESIUM CHLORIDE Depending on weather conditions and traffic density, it is effective between hours According to Yıldız Technical University, Department of Chemistry Laboratories analysis results, has been found to be 4 times more effective than salt (NaCl) for 48 hours after the application of Magnesium Chloride Solution on the road. Salty water can damage asphalt overlay due to different frost heave on the edges of coating and cracks. With more corrosive effect, is objectionable to use on the metal bridges. Magnesium Chloride Solution, contrary to the salty water, does not damage the asphalt and vehicles, has no corrosive effects. Magnesium Chloride is Environmentally Safe. Because it is one hundred percent natural product, in term of human and animal health and the environment, it is harmless. The salt damages the plants on the side of the roads, makes surface and drinking water too salty as well. The inappropriate use of salt, not being possible to have a homogeneous distribution of salt on roads, high labor costs with the use of salt, sums up a higher total cost at the end of the winter season (damages to the surfaces of the roads, damages on vehicles caused by corrosion, high application and labor costs, potential roadside flora damage, etc ) Due to salt damage after winter the maintenance of roads needs to be done. The maintenance costs that harm caused by the use of salt on the roads, is higher than the cost of the road building. To achieve the same effect, needed amount of magnesium chloride solution to be used is much lower than to the amount of salt and all other ice solvents. Magnesium chloride solution is capable of melting ice 4 times more than calcium chloride solution which is used as an alternative.
