3 National investments Measurable stress reduction Component 1.1 Key outcomes/targets: A total of 12 primary innovative investments in improved water, wastewater land and ecosystems management in 8 countries; At least 2,700 hectares of forest area including riparian zones, wetlands, habitats, under improved management practices; At least 46,000 hectares of forested landscapes within wider areas under conservation management regimes; An estimated 227,400 equivalent tonnes CO 2 sequestered over the project duration; In-situ conservation of at least 46,000 ha over wider landscapes; At least a 10% improvement in select indicator species abundance over the baseline; At least 20% improvement in overall water quality (key parameters of the LBS Protocol); Best practices generated and used as basis for learning and replication.
4 National investments Enhanced livelihood opportunities Component 1.2 Key outcomes: Small-scale investments associated with national projects supported by the GEF-Small Grants Programme over project duration; At least 20% increase in annual income per capita from community-based initiatives in crop and livestock production, and from forest and tree products over the project duration; At least 20% fewer reports of water-related illnesses Health indices of target communities; At least 10 investments in small-scale water and sanitation (effluent control) across at least 3 countries.

10 Cuba: At least 1,690 hectares reforested in targeted investments and 13,670 hectares of forest cover preserved to maintain critical ecosystems in target areas Farmers cooperatives practicing biodiversity-sensitive sustainable resource management Guidelines on good agricultural practices that are sensitive to protection and conservation of biological resources. An electronic national knowledge network ( RIWEco Spanish acronym) Strengthened university programmes on biodiversity and Integrated Management of Coastal Areas Two bi-annual national consultations At least one community-based enterprise developed under the GEF-SGP

12 Dominican Republic: Component 1: Developing and implementing approaches for the integrated management and maintenance of ecosystem services of the Higüamo River watershed : Integrated management plan for the Higüamo River watershed and estuarine zone : Supportive plans and guidelines for investments : Investments in ecological restoration and sustainable use measures, improved wastewater management and improved access to safe water with support from the GEF-SGP.
13 Dominican Republic: Master plan and integrated conservation program for integrated biodiversity management Reforestation of critical degraded watershed areas/habitats Communal wastewater treatment investment Rainwater harvesting systems for water stressed communities Ecotourism attraction/route in the Higüamo River watershed and its estuarine zone making use of existing Wildlife Refuges. Updated baseline (ecosystems and human health status) and project monitoring programme At least one community-based enterprise developed under the GEF-SGP
14 Jamaica: Biodiversity Mainstreaming in Coastal Landscapes within the Negril Environmental Protection Area IWEco Project focus: Biodiversity conservation Amount of GEF grant: $3,114,685 USD Amount of Co-financing: $10,217,073 USD Total funding: $13,331,758 USD
15 Jamaica: Component 1: Developing and implementing approaches for the integrated management and maintenance of ecosystem services of the Negril Environmental Protection Area (EPA) : Hydrological Restoration Plan of the Negril Environmental Protection Area : Land use and management plan for the Negril Environmental Protection Area : Habitat/ecosystem rehabilitation investments for conservation of internationally significant, endemic and migratory species : Best environmental practice investments by farmers and land owners (to address unsustainable land use within the wetland ecosystems) supported by GEF-SGP.
16 Jamaica: Revised Negril EPA management plan and strategy including priority zoning of areas based on restorative need Ramsar site designation of the Negril EPA Innovative solutions for wetland restoration across 230 hectares; installation of shallow lagoons for re-establishing habitat corridors, establishment of vegetation buffer zones, construction of moist soil habitat within RPR and palm islands and eradication and control of alien invasive species Seed bank and seedling stock for the restoration of ecosystems Spatial databases - biophysical features, wetland boundaries, existing land uses and diagnostic characterization within each zone Analysis of land tenure issues, recommendations for action Research and information centre for the Negril EPA At least one community-based enterprise developed under the GEF-SGP

21 Saint Lucia: Component 1.1 Measurable stress reduction achieved in the Soufriere watershed through appropriate sustainable water, land and ecosystems management interventions that account for climate change : SLM and SFM-related diagnostic analysis for the Soufriere watershed 1.1.2: Reforestation and rehabilitation investments within degraded lands and along critical reaches of riverbanks within the upper Fond St. Jacques/Migny watershed area : Mechanism for increased revenue generation within target communities for selected stakeholder groups to be supported by the GEF-SGP.
