They correspond to the specific requirements and migration limit values for coatings in direct contact with all foods.they protect the surface against bacteria and are tested according to: Tested for direct contact with food Regulation (EC) 1935/2004, Regulation (EU) 10/2011, Regulation (EU) 1282/2011, Regulation (EU) 2016/1416, Regulation (EC) 1895/2005, Regulation (EC) 2023/2006. 4 Coatings in direct contact with food All paints and lacquers suitable for direct and indirect contact with food and drinks must comply with a wide range of regulations concerning the product and its production.this also applies to coatings that can come into contact with food through condensation forming on ceilings, walls and other surfaces. The European (EU) and American (FDA) regulations for coatings in The declaration of conformity To confirm that the manufacturer (and his products) complies with all legal requirements relating to food health and safety, he is obliged to issue a declaration of conformity for all products that come in direct contact with food. The term foodsafe is frequently used informally for a product that is specially suitable for direct contact with food.this term is not defined. direct contact with food are complex. Our declarations of conformity for FAKOLITH FOODGRADE products offer transparency regarding the tests carried out and approvals for the products on an EU level. FDA approvals for FAKOLITH FOOD- GRADE products are currently in the certification phase. Only the declaration of conformity indicates that the product actually meets the legal requirements (see also red column). The declaration of conformity is a sworn declaration with the date and signature of the manufacturer in accordance with the current requirements of Regulation (EU) 10/2011, checked by the health monitoring,with the following content: The RGSEAA Health Register: All manufacturers of materials and objects that come into contact with food must be registered here. An RGSEAA search on the site of the Spanish Food Consumption and Nutrition Agency (AECOSAN) allows anyone to view the directory and check the entry. FAKOLITH is entered here with number ES The date of the last sanitation inspection indicates whether the up-to-date technology is in use by the manufacturer. No less important is the obligatory Good manufacturing practice according to Regulation (EC) No. 2023/2006.This typically implies that the manufacturer has adapted his production to meet the stringent requirements of the food industry, applied an HACCP management concept, trained his personnel in food safety and carries out production in a clean room environment separate from manufacturing facilities. As a manufacturer of coatings for the food industry,we therefore apply all safety precautions in respect to storage, monitoring and traceability to the manufacture of our products, just like an industrial food producer. In summary: All requirements for products that come into direct contact with food are indicated in the declaration of conformity. All test certificates and validations in respect to manufacture are archived and available for an official inspection, if necessary. A valid declaration of conformity must include the following data: Information on the entry in the Health Register RGSEAA-Code 39 Manufacture corresponding to the requirements stipulated in Regulation (EC) 2023/ 2006 (HACCP) List of suitability tests for direct contact with food corresponding to regulations: - Regulation (EC) 1935/ Regulation (EU) 10/2011 and the updated versions in accordance with Regulation (EU) 1282/2011, Regulation (EU) 2016/ Regulation (EC) 1895/2005 (only epoxy) - Regulation (EC) 852/2004 cleaning and disinfection Global migration tests specifying which groups of food have been tested for direct contact: - Testing of food simulants A, B, C, D2 confirms suitability of the coating for contact with all foods - Temperature conditions from OM1 to OM7 (40 C C) Tests for specific migrations according to type of product: - Primary amines and heavy metals (all) - BADGE, bisphenol-a, epichlorohydrin, formaldehyde, phenols etc., depending on type of test coating. 6 The biofilm : A risk for the food industry A major risk for food quality is the biofilm. This is made up of a complex association of microorganisms that form an extracellular polysaccharide layer. This matrix facilitates adhesion on all surfaces (plastic, glass, wood, metal, iron, stainless steel and food), while providing protection against disinfectants, providing nutrients and promoting inherent, unrestrained growth within the biofilm. Biofilm is the most frequent cause of food contamination. If products are infected and need to be disposed of,this will result in economic losses. If the product quality is impaired by a taste change, this can damage a company's image. The BioFilmStop prophylaxis prevents the formation of a biofilm on many surfaces right from the start. Employees working in contaminated rooms as well as the occupational safety concept used by industry can benefit from this.
