Spanning the financial to the cultural, we will discuss key factors and processes that ensure an on-site health center is structured to most effectively drive utilization. We will address the concepts of return and value on investment to help identify how to measure and maximize results. Finally, with the fundamental understanding that engagement drives results, we will discuss how to best create social environments both within and outside the on-site health center that promote health and drive engagement.
5 ABOUT THE WORKSHOP LEADER: Michael Miesch is Vice President within the Health & Benefits division at Aon Hewitt. Mike consults with the Health Transformation Team and is located in Chicago, IL. He has 18 years of experience in population health management and brings practical skills in the areas of employer sponsored on-site/near site health clinics, on-site fitness centers, wellbeing strategies, targeted population health interventions and program evaluation. Mike takes pride in understanding his client s culture, goals and resources to ensure the most appropriate vendors and services are in place to deliver effective outcomes. Prior to Aon, Mike was the Senior Vice President of Operations at United Wellness Group, where he leveraged his years in population health management consulting, operations and leadership to help the company achieve significant growth. He developed many operational improvements around quality assurance and customer service. Mike lead United Wellness Group s Health Management Consulting Department in which he was responsible for client strategy design, implementation and evaluation for major accounts. He took a lead role in enhancing United Wellness Group s products, services and technology to ensure the organization was delivering innovative solutions while meeting the client s needs. Prior to this role, Mike was a Regional Health and Productivity Consultant with USI Insurance Services, where he advised clients on wellbeing, on-site clinic and on-site fitness center strategies, as well as specializing in vendor selection and vendor management. Previously he held the National Director of Wellness role at Plus One Health Management, where he served on the Senior Management Team and was responsible for product development and account management services. Mike began his career at Plus One as an Exercise Specialist at The Goldman Sachs Fitness Exchange in Chicago. He eventually became the Regional Director of Wellness at Goldman Sachs as an employee of Plus One, where he focused on vendor management and integrating the onsite health centers, fitness centers, EAP and food service vendors to ensure the most effective programs and services were being delivered to the employee population.
