1 BANNER 9 SELF-SERVICE ENDUSER TRAINING FOR PROCUREMENT Procurement Staff STOCKTON UNIVERSITY
2 BANNER 9 END-USER TRAINING SELF-SERVICE REQUISITIONS In Banner 9, end-users may create, copy, view and search requisitions using the Self-Service module. Log into Self-Service and select the My Requisition form. Banner 9 Self-Service Dashboard: In Self Service Select My Requisitions to see your dashboard for all of your requisitions 1
3 Below is an example of the dashboard: View Requisition Activity (Draft, Pending, Complete) o o Click on the (i) to obtain information on the current requisition status Click on the Requisition Number to obtain detail of the requisition including Requestor Information, Vendor Information, and Item & Accounting. This information can also be 2
4 viewed as a PDF by selecting the View as PDF button 3

6 Creating a New Requisition On the My Requisitions page you will be able to view all of your Requisition activity including draft requisitions, pending requisitions and completed requisitions. 1. Create a new requisition by selecting the Create Requisition button on the top right corner. 2. Requestor information will load automatically. Select a Delivery Date (at least one day out), Organization Code and complete the Attention To field. Add a Public Comment for Check w/order, bid waiver, contract number, State Contract Information & special instructions for vendor/purchasing. Complete the Private Comment section with any special instructions for Purchasing such as Standing Order or notes for your department. 5
7 3. Next will take you to the Vendor Information Section: a. Select the Vendor by simply typing the vendor s name (even partial) and a list of vendors will appear to select from. (Not case sensitive). b. If you know the Z#, enter it and it will appear in a list for you to choose from. 6
8 Then select Net 30 for most requisitions or Net 1 for Check w/order requisitions. Then hit Next at the bottom of the screen to move to the Add Item and Accounting Section. 7
9 4. Type in Item information and hit Enter. Then enter Unit of Measure, Quantity, Unit Price. Commodity Comments (similar to old Item Text ) Public Comment will print on PO & Private Comment will not print on PO. Click Save button at the bottom of the screen. If you have more than one item, enter the next item in the Add Item(s) section & repeat steps above. 8
10 5. If entire order is being charged to one FOAPAL - Add Accounting information and hit Save button at bottom right. 6. If order is being charged to more than one FOAPAL: a. Change the distribution amount or distribution percentage. b. Split Accounting Box will appear. Click on split accounting. c. Enter new FOAPAL information d. When Remaining Amount equals zero, click Save button at bottom right. 9
11 7. To add or change accounting information: a. Click on Funding b. Click on the FOAPAL line you want to change c. FOAPAL will open & changes can be made d. Click Save 8. When all information is entered, click Submit Requisition on bottom right. 10

13 Creating a New Requisition from old Requisition (COPY feature) 1. In search box type in requisition number used in the past for items you want to reorder. Enter. 2. Click on the Requisition Number listed. 3. Requisition will open. 4. In the upper right hand corner, click on Copy Requisition 5. A message will appear, Do you want to copy this requisition? Yes or No in upper right hand side of screen, Click Yes. 6. Enter Delivery Date & Attention To, Public or Private Comments (if needed), click Next a. Add a Public Comment for Check w/order, bid waiver, contract number, State Contract Information & special instructions for vendor/purchasing.
