ADD NEW LINE- Allows more lines for entries SAVE- Save new entries and/or changes. COPY it will copy that days data entries DELETE- Delete ALL the entries for that day. Please note; the Shift should always be 1

10 Overtime at time and a half To be paid overtime, 40 hours must have been worked in one week and all hours worked over 40 will be entered using the earnings code OTP (overtime 1 ½ times regular rate). Overtime pay must have supervisor approval to be paid. The Request to Pay Overtime Form will need to be submitted. If overtime pay is not approved the earn code CTP (comp 1 ½ time regular rate) will need to be used. The CTP hours will be banked in the employee s comp balance for later use.

11 Overtime pay at an employee s regular rate is entered as OTS (overtime straight time). Straight overtime pay must have supervisor approval to be paid. The Request to Pay Overtime Form will need to be submitted. CTE (comp time earned straight time) is earned at an employee s regular rate when an employee has not physically worked over 40 hours in a work week. Example: An employee worked a total of 35 hours Monday through Thursday. Friday is a UCO paid holiday (8hrs). The employee will need to record 3 hours of straight overtime. Their timecard should show REG (regular) of 32 hours, HOL (holiday) of 8 hours and CTE or OTS of 3 hours for that work week.

12 Time sheets should be submitted by the deadline indicated on the UCOnnect time sheet not at the end of each week. Click on submit for approval button when completed The time sheet is now sent to Supervisor for approval

21 If you return a time sheet for correction, check the comments field first to enter instructions for the employee indicating the problem with the time sheet. Then click the Return for Correction button. The employee will receive an automatic indicating something needs to be corrected. Please instruct the employee to log into UCOnnect to correct their hours. They can correct their hours by clicking on the total hours for that day. The in an out screen will come up again and changes can be made. The employee will need to RE-SUBMIT their time sheet for approval when all corrections have been made. You, as the timekeeper, will then need to be sure the returned timecard is approved prior to the payroll deadline. If a time sheet is returned but not corrected and approved it will not be paid

24 There will be times when a paper time sheet is needed. UCOnnect time sheet was not submitted prior to the deadline and the employee was locked out A time sheet was returned and corrections were not made timely An employee never opened their UCOnnect time sheet prior to the payroll deadline The employee will need to submit an excel time sheet to their supervisor for retro pay to be paid with the next payroll
