As the Founder and CEO of the only ecommerce website carrying exclusively FSA and HSA eligible products, my unique perspective working to refine the educational needs and spending potential of consumer-directed healthcare accounts would prove to be a valuable asset to the Board. Our business shares common ground with all of ECFC s members in our dedication to industry wide growth and success. I recognized the need for FSAstore.com/HSAstore.com after a successful career managing and growing small businesses, where my responsibilities included managing HR and FSA Benefits. In working with FSAs, I found that the confusion and inconvenience surrounding these accounts resulted in participant frustration, misunderstanding and ultimately, employees forfeiting their hard earned tax-free income. In response to the clear market need for a better process for FSAs, FSAstore.com was launched in the spring of 2010, after winning the Columbia Business School Odyssey Global MBA Award for best entrepreneurial business idea. In seven short years, the company has closed four successful rounds of financing, amassed a customer base in excess of 200k users, partnered with more than 250 FSA administrators, and exceeded expectations every quarter. The ultimate goal of FSAstore.com was to remove the barriers in knowledge and access that had plagued the use of these accounts and stunted enrollment for decades. FSAstore.com and HSAstore.com have eliminated the burdensome process of determining which products are eligible, provided a new pathway to FSA and HSA understanding and have produced extensive educational resources to help customers maximize the potential of these accounts. As a Board Member for ECFC, I hope to use our unique position to look at ECFC agenda items from a different perspective, while remaining committed to and championing any change that brings a positive impact to the industry as a whole. In particular, we fully support the repeal of the OTC Rx provision, which limits the freedom of account holders and increases the cost of care. In regards to our industry goals, improving the flexibility of HSAs and a full repeal of the Cadillac Tax are also top priorities. If elected to the Board, I will help to ensure the continued success of ECFC and further support advocacy efforts during this time of change. Jeremy Miller

ECFC Board Directors are responsible for ensuring for the prudent operation and financial management of the Association. Board members are also responsible for ensuring that the chair, president, and staff are formulating and implementing business plans consistent with the Association s mission and long-term plan of operations, and that the quality of business services and business ethics are consistent with the Board s expectations. Category Dedication and Commitment I will keep myself informed of matters pertinent to my responsibilities as a Board member. I will prepare for meetings by reading materials provided, considering what issues and questions should be explored at the meeting, and seeking out additional information when appropriate. I will maintain membership on one or more committees I will attend committee and Board meetings and actively participate in those meetings. I will volunteer for and will follow through on special assignments between meetings. ECFC s Strategic Initiatives (Planning & Business Development) I will contribute to ECFC s strategic planning efforts. I will help ECFC gain visibility with key leaders and decision-makers. I will assist ECFC in developing strategy. The Best Interests of ECFC I will adhere to the Association s Conflict of Interest Policy I will alert the Association in a timely manner should actual or potential conflicts of interest or other awkward situations occur. I will maintain the confidentiality of non-public information concerning the Association, including information concerning its business development strategies. I will appropriately balance the needs of ECFC with my role at my employer. Relationships I will be open to and will respect the views of other Board members. FSAstore.com's mission is to make it simple and convenient for the more than 30 million US consumers with FSAs and over 15 million with HSAs to use and manage their accounts. Jeremy recognized the need for FSAstore.com after a successful career managing and growing small businesses, where his responsibilities included managing HR and the FSA account process for employees, most recently as Manager of Operations at Gehry Technologies, the technological division of Frank Gehry's architectural practice. He found the confusion and inconvenience surrounding FSAs resulted in participant frustration and ultimately the forfeiture of employee's tax-free income.
