1 Vice President ISM Utah Candidate Bios Martin Wright Serving ISM for the past two years as the Central Utah Branch Assistant Director and Director, I have enjoyed the opportunity to provide activities and speakers that allowed for meaningful continuing education seminars. I have also gained greater insights into the structure and organization of ISM Utah. I currently work as the Purchasing Manager at NovaRad Corp in American Fork, Utah and have over ten years of purchasing experience. I feel that it is important to have strong leadership within ISM, so the mission and values of ISM Utah are maintained. Understanding Supply Chain and all the global changes is important to the success of each of our members. I want to help enhance and grow the Utah ISM affiliate. I enjoy learning and growing through my participation with the association. To provide Best Practice and lessons learned sharing among members in the area. 2 Vice President Burke Hill Burke Hill is an experienced procurement leader with over twenty-five years of high performance. He is currently the Director of Purchasing at Vivint Smart Home. Previous roles in Utah include Director of Procurement at InsideSales.com, and Sr. Manager of Procurement and Program Management at IM Flash Technologies. He served on the ISM Board of Directors from 2014 to Burke has an MBA from BYU (2012) and received his Lifetime C.P.M. certification from ISM in Burke has an extensive background in direct and indirect procurement, supplier management, project management, process improvement, and team leadership. Burke prides himself in developing and growing world class supply chains. He has a proven record of leadership getting individuals, teams, processes, and programs to perform at optimal levels. I enjoyed my two year tenure on the ISM Utah Board from During that time we were make significant changes including our approach to the monthly meetings, increasing our company tours, group socials, and providing new training programs. I like the trajectory we were on and would like to continue that going forward. I think we now have the opportunity to spread more of our goodness to the hundreds of new businesses that have joined our community in the past few years. Let s focus on networking with more companies and groups. Let s work on improving ISM s net promoter score through providing superior member experiences (meetings, tours, networking, and training). Let s make ISM-Utah the institute of choice for purchasing professionals in Utah. Yes

3 Treasurer Julie Erickson Julie Erickson has worked at Intermountain Healthcare for over twenty years in roles including Accounting, Finance, Operations leadership and most recently, Supply Chain. She studied Accounting at Utah State University and after years of working in operations (along with encouragement from others), she received her MBA from the John M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University. Julie lives in both Cache Valley and Salt Lake City, thus enjoys both the rural, slower paced life as well as the fast paced, excitement of the city. She loves the diversity of the state of Utah so much that her family has homes they enjoy year-round from Bear Lake to St. George. Julie s hobbies include running, cycling, hiking, and skiing; however, her favorite, all-time passion is traveling! She and her family has been fortunate to see much of the world but keeps checking off her bucket list of places to see. Julie is excited for the opportunity to volunteer and looking forward to learning more about Supply Chain Management with ISM-Utah. As a new member of ISM-Utah, Julie will bring fresh, novel ideas. With her financial background in accounting and budgeting, she feels the role of Treasurer on ISM- Utah s board is a natural fit. Julie is also supported by fellow colleagues at Intermountain in this endeavor. How can membership in ISM-Utah bring more value to each member and the company they represent? What are the key benefits to being a member of ISM-Utah networking, education, knowledge of current trends in the industry, giving back to community, enhancing student opportunities within Supply Chain, etc.? How can we network together and share ideas among members so current challenges being faced can be addressed? Continuous Improvement - One of Julie s favorite quotes is from Winston Churchill, To improve is to change, and to be perfect is to change often. She believes that being amenable to change is important to success, especially in today s rapidly changing environment. Does your employer support your decision to be on the board? Yes

4 Board of Directors Cathy Gillies Cathy Gillies has twenty plus years of global supply chain experience in purchasing and planning in numerous industries and marketing channels. She joined USANA Health Sciences seven years ago as Purchasing Manager. USANA is a U.S.-based direct selling nutritional company that manufactures supplements, personal care and healthy food products distributed globally in 24 markets. In her role at USANA, she is responsible for directing the purchase of all raw materials, packaging and print components to support the manufacturing activities of the company as well as contract manufacturers. She has developed and directed supplier performance metrics. Cathy also oversees supplier-sourcing activities and participates in audits and evaluations of existing and perspective suppliers. She and her team also provide support for new product development to Project Management, Marketing, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Creative Services, Quality, Finance and Supply Chain Planners. Cathy has C.P.M. and CPSM certifications through ISM. She is also a Certified Quality Auditor through the American Society for Quality. She has previously served as the ISM-Utah County Director and ISM-Utah Membership Chair. Cathy is currently a committee member for the ISM Report on Business (ROB) survey. Cathy is married and resides in Draper, Utah. She keeps busy with her 17 (soon to be 18) grandchildren. In her free time, she also enjoys being outdoors and playing golf. I value the programs, training and networking that ISM provides. In addition, I want to contribute to the continued success of ISM-Utah. I would like to develop more small-scale volunteer opportunities for the members to experience the rewards of volunteering and help them develop their skills and confidence to serve in additional roles. Not only does USANA afford me the time needed to serve as a board member, they also allow the budget for ISM membership, training and certification for my team.

5 Board of Directors Darin Lee Darin Lee is a Supplier Relationship Manager who works for the LDS Church Purchasing Division supporting the Special Projects and Safety Departments by establishing contracts for products and services. His greatest accomplishment is his marriage to a great woman, who did most of the raising of children who are responsible adults giving back to society in a positive way. Darin works to develop partnerships that create mutual benefit. He has accomplished this by participating with or leading at home, as a volunteer, and at work for Salt Lake City, UDOT, BYU-Idaho, the National Associating of Educational Procurement, Madison Baseball Association, Boy Scouts of America and the LDS Church. During this time, new or improved systems, processes and services were established. Darin first obtained the C.P.M. in 1998 and last month recertified as a CPSM and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of Utah. He has been part of professional organizations for many years but is somewhat new to ISM-Utah. His hope is to provide ongoing support to the very good work of ISM-Utah. Because I have always felt it is important when possible to give back to organizations that build people. I have been part of professional organizations for many years but somewhat new to ISM-Utah. My top ideas is to provide ongoing support to the very good work of ISM-Utah. Yes.

6 Board of Directors Tracey Stevens Tracey has been an active member of ISM-UTAH for several years serving the membership in Marketing, Education and as Past President. She earned the Lifetime Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) and Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), as well as a Masters in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. She currently works for Zions Bancorporation as a Vendor Category Manager and enjoys traveling with her husband Larry. I am running to give back to the organization, which has been valuable to me over my career. Ensure finances are solid and support a fun, educational meeting where members are compelled to participate. Yes, I have support from Zions Bancorporation, my employer.

7 Assistant Utah County Director Jordan Briggs Jordan Briggs is a Buyer for Nature s Sunshine Products. He received his B.S. Degree in Supply Chain Management from Brigham Young University Idaho in 2014 and is a recipient of the Newel K. Whitney Scholar award. He is known around work for his love of Excel and his never-ending quest to automate workbooks with pages of Visual Basic code. When he is not attempting to excel at excel, he enjoys small business consulting and Utah s great outdoors through road cycling, archery hunting, and hiking. Jordan values hard work, honesty, comedy, and the pursuit of education and currently resides in Provo, UT with his wife Sara. He is committed to increasing the outreach of ISM and building the base of active members in the organization. I am running to help both individuals and companies become leaders in their fields and increase the membership of the organization. I would like ISM to be part of helping others develop personally. As individuals progress, they open opportunities to themselves and their organizations which were not previously available. As we focus on building individuals and bringing new members in, new opportunities will become available to all members of ISM. More outreach to companies not currently involved with ISM, to increase membership and resources available Working with companies to cover more ISM costs, and remove additional attendance barriers More utilization of social media Increased outreach to local Colleges and Universities, establishing mentoring and education opportunities. Increase networking possibilities Nature s Sunshine Products does support my decision to run for the Board. One of the current members of the ISM board is an executive at NSP.
