20 Significant New Data (SND) Section 5.12: Significant New Data (SND) Proposed amendment: Adjust the wording to clarify that, in situations where a written document providing the SND is required, the written document does not need to actually provide the SND, but rather, it must provide the changes to the SDS and label that result from the SND. 39 Amendment for WATs HPR hazard class and category/subcategory: Substances & mixtures that, as sold or imported, meet the criteria for Acute Toxicity-Inhalation and also, upon contact with water, release a toxic gas [(Water Activated Toxicity (WAT)] Proposed amendment: Modify subsection 8.1.1(2) to specify that classification is based on the toxicity of the substance or mixture as sold or imported, not the WAT hazard. As per the current HPR, a supplemental hazard statement that communicates the WAT hazard is required on the label and SDS and this supplemental hazard statement would continue to be required. 40 Regulatory Updates for 2018 Q3 20
