3 What started as a small smithy has developed into a company operating on an international scale. And yet we are always very close to our clients with 10 locations in Germany and 8 further locations worldwide. We have invested continuously in know-how, staff and production techniques. As a result, our overall output has increased 13-fold over the past 15 years. Our head office is in Salching near Straubing, about one hour s drive north east of Munich Airport. Management, company administration, construction and design as well as production are located here, covering 45,000 m² production area and 10,000 m² office space. Our staff include technicians, engineers from the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, highly skilled fitters and mechanics, specialists in the metal-working field, ambitious, committed young academics as well as experienced newcomers to the company. We place great emphasis on apprenticeships and training. We train our young staff internally. Around 140 young persons are currently learning for their future work at our company in eight different apprenticeship professions including four dual courses of study. A clear vision, the ability to listen to the market and new, unconventional ideas enable us to create efficient, reliable solutions in line with the wishes and requirements of our clients. 5 Surface finishing systems We develop tailor-made concepts of a high technical quality with an ideal cost-benefit ratio in line with the requirements and ideas of our clients. We can produce coating systems for almost all materials and coating media with due consideration to environment protection issues and energy efficiency, applying our internal engineering and state of the art production facilities. Our range of products includes compact systems through to integrated coating lines. Coating Objects e.g. wood, glass, plastic or metals. There are practically no limits to the complexity of coating objects neither in terms of geometry nor in terms of size and weight. We provide a wide range of products from lipstick tubes through to engine blocks and car bodies. Coating Media For all types of paints e.g. hydro-paints, solvent-based paints, UV paints, UV waterbased paints and thermal coatings. In addition we also process adhesives, release and binding agents, zinc-rich paint and special materials such as Geomet and Alutherm on our coating systems. 6 Industrial cleaning systems Ever increasing demands are being made with regard to quality and cleanness of the cleaning of parts. Energy efficiency and reduced space requirements are important factors. We provide in-depth consultancy, planning of individual solutions as well as engineering, and produce complex plant systems. At our Technical Center we carry out cleaning tests with subsequent residual dirt analyses in the test lab and the clean room. By using top quality components and on account of our coherent design and construction concepts, our systems set high standards. 7 Material handling systems As conveyance engineering specialists with international experience, we plan, design and supply ground and overhead conveying systems. Our clients include the automotive industry and general industrial partners as well as the airport and parcel sector. Our focus is on work piece carrier based transport systems (mixed cargo) and chain facilities. 9 Vision Technologies The Vision Technologies section develops, designs, produces and sells inspection systems and test systems for optical quality and process monitoring. We integrate our systems directly into production processes, thereby not only satisfying quality requirements, but also contributing to an improvement of processes by means of process feedback. Even the smallest errors are detected. The Sturm Group systems fulfill test tasks reliably and in line with the process even in the case of high production speeds and short cycle times. The objective is to ensure complete, continuous quality monitoring of production. 10 Sheet metal processing (Job order production) In accordance with your drawings, we provide a wide range of sheet metal working from simple laser parts through to complete assemblies from a lot size of just 1 through to series production in steel, stainless steel, aluminum and special materials. 250 staff work on 300 machines on an area of approx. 11,000 m² to meet your requirements!
