Fuji Brand / Fuji Electric (Changshu) Brand Products Notification regarding a Change due to the Amendments of EU Directive and China RoHS Thank you for your continued efforts to promote the sales of Fuji products. This notification is to inform you of a change concerning Fuji brand*1 and Fuji Electric (Changshu) brand products to conform to the amendments of the EU Directive*2 effective April 20, 2016 and the China RoHS*3 effective for products manufactured in July 2016 or later. *1 BW0 Series (BW32, 33, 102, 103) and BC Series are excluded. *2: The Administrative Measure on the Control of Pollution Caused by Electronic Information Products is referred to as the China RoHS in this document. *3: The Administrative Measure on the Control of Pollution Caused by Electronic Information Products is referred to as the China RoHS in this document. Note: All of our CE-marked products are compliant with the RoHS Directive (Europe). 1. Amendment of the EU Directive The EMC Directive 2014/30/EU was issued on March 29, For the purpose of clarifying the traceability of products exported to the EU region and respective responsibilities of manufacturers, authorized representatives, importers and distributors, the following are required at the customs of the destination country from April 20, 2016: (1) Indication of company name (2) Indication of registered trade name and registered trademark (3) Indication of the postal address at which the manufacturer can be contacted (4) Indication of the contact information of the importer, such as an overseas agent, that is expected to export the product in the EU region 1-1. Target All CE-marked products 1-2. Actions to be taken by our company Requirements (1) and (2) are already implemented by indicating the information on the product specification nameplate (or packaging, packing box or instruction manual). Requirement (3) is already implemented by indicating the information in the instruction manual, etc. However, only for products that our company determines have adequate space for, the

abbreviated postal address of our main office will be indicated on the product specification nameplate. Requirement (4) is already implemented by indicating, in the instruction manual, etc.

For those products, the requirements will be implemented from this time. For details by model, see attached "List of Actions to be Taken for Each Model". For the specific examples of, see Figure 1.
