2 Whole-life support services CMI Defence maintains a cradle to grave philosophy to the design, development, introduction into service support and through-life support for all Cockerill weapons systems. This professional support approach optimises the total cost of ownership to the customer throughout the entire service life of CMI Defence equipment. This whole of life support includes Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Through Life Support (TLS), Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), Training & Simulation and Capability Development. Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) The CMI Defence ILS capability ensures that all Cockerill weapon systems are designed for maintainability from the outset and are intimately supported during introduction into service to the customer organisation. Through Life Support (TLS) CMI Defence supports Cockerill weapon systems throughout their service life with a fully functioning TLS team offering a Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS) that allows the customer to optimize preventive maintenance of their weapons systems. MMIS, when utilized with CMI Defence s global supply chain ensures that reprovisioning of spare parts into customer maintenance organisations is aligned with the maintenance cycle of the equipment allowing the customer to attain high levels of system reliability and availability. CMI Defence s TLS team can also provide dedicated in-country support and the full range of engineering support necessary to deliver the mid-life upgrade of all Cockerill systems and for other manufacturer s systems.

3 Training CMI Defence offers a global training concept to its customers: it designs and conducts trainings dedicated to turret and combat systems operators and to maintainers at all maintenance levels. CMI Defence s Master Trainers are able to provide train-the- trainer training into customer organisations encompassing the theoretical and practical operation and maintenance of Cockerill weapons systems including support to live fire range practices. Thanks to its inner multidisciplinary training team (trainers, logisticians, engineers ), CMI Defence can tailor its training modules to meet specific customer requirements. This team is also able to deal with all issues related to the implementation of training programs, including the control of the firing sessions. To implement this training concept, CMI Defence is building a new Training Center in France. This Training Center is a comprehensive, secured and unique training asset relying on four structuring pillars: A main training site in Commercy, fitted with modern training means, CMI Defence equipment (vehicles, turrets and simulators) and secured information nets. An Advanced Training and Firing facility (ATF) located on the French military camp of Suippes, composed of rented modernized infrastructure and firing ranges. A robust logistic organization relying on ammunition storage facility. An integrated operational organization. Simulation CMI Defence simulation solutions are developed within Agueris. Agueris is a first rank player in training and simulation. It designs, develops, integrates, deploys and supports military simulation solutions for weapons systems and vehicles. Agueris simulators are the ideal solutions to acquire the technical know-how allowing the management of the weapon system and vehicle in any context or situation and to develop the tactical know-how enabling units to react accurately while facing various operational contexts. Agueris simulators are either generic or embedded. Generic virtual simulators for gunnery training are based upon a virtual immersive cockpit to train the crew (commander, gunner) or the pilot. They are multi-system: one simulator can switch from one weapon system to another, ensuring training on multiple systems using a single simulator. With Agueris operational embedded training solutions, the real vehicle or turret becomes the simulator : the simulation system connects to the real equipment in a garage, and the crew trains within its real environment using the real-world command and controls. Beyond simulators, Agueris helps end-users leverage the power of simulation using teams dedicated to support, maintenance, and assistance.

CMI Defence has developed various MRO models for upgradability, re-role or life extension; which are proven not only within NATO countries but on a global scale. CMI Defence specialises in the following MRO activities: Dismounting, inspection, repair, modification, reassembly and remounting of the main armament Up-gunning of 76mm Scorpion to 90mm Cockerill Mk3 gun Redesign, manufacture and supply of critical components in order to increase armour and firepower capability Upgrade in munition capability through use of Cockerill specially designed one stage muzzle brake system Disassembly, inspection, repair, modification and reassembly of wheeled and tracked vehicles (partnered with specialist Defence automotive companies) Complete platform surface treatment and repainting to NATO standards Redesign, supply, integration and testing of new Electronic Architecture (including Hunter Killer Capability) Redesign, Supply and Integration of critical LRU s and/or new products increasing overall capability, for example: autoloader, power management, etc.
