1 DFT & IATA Approved Cargo Courses Syllabus, Prices & Dates DFT COURSES Air Cargo Security training is a mandatory requirement for many companies operating in the UK. All Renful Air Cargo Security courses and training programmes are approved by the DfT and much emphasis is made upon encouraging a culture of security awareness in the workplace. Also staff carrying out security functions Cargo Level E - Screening of Cargo Cargo Level E X-Ray Staff carrying out the approved screening methods, except x-ray (i.e. staff designated to hand search cargo, etc.) 6 Staff carrying out the approved screening methods, including x-ray (i.e. X-ray Operators, staff designated to hand search cargo, etc.) 7 Cargo Level F - Security Supervisors Staff supervising the security functions Cargo Level G - Security Managers Staff managing the security functions and those intending to become trainers 9 8 Cargo Refresher (A- G) Refresher training every 2 years is a requirement for all levels, A to G. GSAT The National X-Ray Competency Test (NXCT) General Security Awareness Training Required for all operators of X-Ray Equipment within an aviation security environment. 11 General Security Awareness Training (GSAT) Target Audience: All airport employees should undertake security awareness training to help them to understand airport security measures, their obligations, what they are expected to do in the event of an incident and how to report suspicious activity, crime or security breaches that are witnessed. Successful completion of a GSAT course is required before an airside worker can be issued or re-issued with an airside pass. The GSAT requirement covers a wide range of airport employees from shop workers to cleaners to contractors.
