2 Blah. Ok, I m sure you were ready for this, you know the boring info page, where they tell you the usual baloney, that you just skip, right? Well you probably won t want to skip this, because this is my terms of use or whatever you d like to call it, and it s far from boring. 1. First of all, I sold you this product for financial gain (ok?), and I didn t give this product away for that same reason. Which is why I grant you an exclusive license to this product, ie. you can t give this baby out, it s yours, and yours alone... 3 Intro. Hey :-), so it s Christmas eve, and we were sitting around the tree, playing a little mario kart with my brother, just having the cool family time. Then we all went to do our own thing, and I looked at PC world for a moment.. And I saw this BIG blaring article about this concept called QR Codes or Quick Response codes.. Here check out the article: tested_qr_code_key_ring_for_lost_keys.html Basically, what this article talks about, is using QR codes on your keychain, so if someone finds your car keys (when you lose them... ARGH!), it will send you a text that they ve found your keys and you ll be able to meet up with them to get your keys back. The minute I read this, my head went WOW. I ve watched these QR codes grow from the latest thing, to tools that you actually use when you ve lost your keys. It s amazing how technology in the world goes today. Before I continue, if your confused at all, about what QR codes are, I d highly recommend you check out the Wikipedia page (I know.. sources), about it.. It even has a map that explains how the code works. Now, that s all for introducing. Let s get to the meat shall we... (And turkey :-))

4 #1 - QR Codes In Real Estate I ve been thinking about this idea for a while now, the idea of using QR codes in real estate, and while some of the ideas that I ve had about it have been put into use of late, I ve noticed that their are several things that companies are not doing with QR codes that could be done.. (and perhaps you could sell these ideas / set them up for a local realtor for $$$). How about setting up some QR codes on the signs that you put out at the road, so people can literally get out of their cars when they see a house they might be interested in, and just scan the code to get all the info about that home. Lately I ve been seeing signs that look a little bit like this near my place... (I got this pic here: These cleverly done signs, have a web address for every home set up, so someone can just click to the site on their computers, when they get home, to get information about the house. I was thinking when I saw that, what the heck are these guys thinking, I mean seriously... The person reading that sign probably wants the info on the house right away, available at their hands. (And even if the person did type the site address into their web browser, they end up on the least mobile friendly page online... it just doesn t work). So what about putting QR codes & mobile friendly websites on the for sale signs outside of people s homes...

5 So I did a little looking around on Google, and this is what I was returned with.. A bunch of signs that made me say to myself, THIS CAN BE DONE BETTER. You know how people always talk about being above the fold to gain leads... Well I think in such the same way, if you look at the one with the Balloon near the bottom they place the QR code way at the bottom of the sign (Where people aren t looking). If you could put it in a more prime location, then people will see it and actually scan it. Another thing you see in that image of images, is an image of a guy out at a sign, and basically the entire sign is a QR code. This is a cool idea, in that, it promotes the use of QR codes however, it s not really a sellable idea, because it has huge limitations for people who don t own a smart phone (OH, THE HORROR?!). If you re still with me, I have another idea for Real Estate. How about throwing a QR code on the house fliers, you know the ones you get for more information about the house? Yes, well how about allowing people to scan that QR code and get all the information given to them on their phone. (this is an idea I am seeing increasingly used... so I won t really go into detail). Don t forget...

6 After a realtor takes a person on their first tour of a home, the idea is that the realtor will take them to go see more homes in the coming days. However, sometimes people lose interest after the first visit, and decide they are happy where they stand. Normally, the realtor hands you a business card or a magnet. I was just looking at one of those magnets, and I had an idea. What about a magnet with a QR code on it. Someone gets home, they stick it to their fridge, and now they can scan that QR code if they want to check out the homes that guy is selling. Furthermore, say they are having friends over, and their friend sees the magnet, they also may be drawn to start looking at homes... (Maybe this is a crazy idea, but I thought I d throw it in here). And you should probably throw QR codes on the Business card too..

7 #2 - QR Codes In Restaurants I am constantly amazed about how the marketing conversations I get involved in, start. The other day, I was out at a small chinese place on the water in a small village near here. I was walking out with my Grandfather and he saw something on the door, which intrigued him....it was a QR Code! When I saw it, I explained to him how you scan it on your phone, and magically a website appears. But, what really intrigued me, was that over any of the places that I have eaten out (And I admit, I eat out on the constant), this was one of the only places that I have seen have QR Codes everywhere. Why this little store, in a small town with very little phone usage heck so little smartphone usage would have QR Codes. That s what caused me to think of a couple of ways that you could sell QR codes to small (and even BIG) restaurants. My first idea, is a greasy one... How about putting a QR code on fry boxes, perhaps for nutritional (HA) information about the fries, or even as a contest... Scan this code for your chance to win something.. Then perhaps you could win a free burger etc. Or even scan the code to get a coupon code for your next visit. Wait, did I say fry boxes? well you could use this on PIZZA TRAYS, Fry boxes, burger containers, ALMOST ANYTHING. Heck, even a coffee cup. You can literally put a QR code on almost anything... You can even shop with QR codes >> qr_code_grocery_shopping_renders_shopping_carts_obsolete.html

8 You can also have QR codes around the restaurant, on signs, and even... here s an idea for you, on opinion cards, you know those things where you tell the company what you think, well how about a QR code on there that automatically opens a text message (where they can put in the numbers), so they can recommend your place to a friend. This is all out of the box thinking of course.

9 #3 - Grocery Stores Grocery stores are one of those places that I really don t see integrating QR codes all that much (And I think thats sad), as it s one of those places that gets my head going with WAYS everytime I go into one. For example, the front door of the grocery store, could have a QR code that I could scan to find out the latest deals (and then of course take advantage of those deals when I get in the store.. which equals more money for the store). Another example of that same thing, is once I get inside the store, most stores I ve been to recently, have carts at the front, and then you enter in the store. What about a QR Code built into the cart, that I just scan to get the latest deals.. (this is a killer idea...), because guess what? You can use one QR code for 10 years, yet your page would show the latest deals EVERY SINGLE DAY. Oh hey! You know every Grocery Store has fliers right? What about adding a like us on Facebook QR code to the fliers, and then marketing new sales new products via their facebook page (or twitter, linkedin etc). How about even a QR code that leads to a mobile squeeze page to sign up for info on the latest sales at this store. BOOM! Those were just a few ideas that I had when I was thinking about how Grocery Stores could use QR codes, although I am sure their are many more things that I could think to add. The point is, even in a Grocery Store you can put QR codes on many many things and PROFIT immensely from those QR codes.

10 #4 - Scalpers! Tickets, Who NEEDS TICKETS?. I love going to hockey games, and one of the things I will always notice is scalpers who stand outside the event selling tickets. Well, I was thinking about how easily QR codes could be used to sell tickets to concerts. I mean you could easily add thousands of ticket sales, just from using QR codes. Here s my idea What if we could do something insane? What if every poster that advertised a coming concert, had a QR code on it, that you could scan on your phone, and be sent to a MOBILE sales process with (even Clickbank has Mobile checkout!). So literally I could see a poster of a band I was interested in, and order tickets with my smartphone just standing by the poster. That s just an idea of course. To add a little to the last idea I had, you could also have QR codes on posters about someone s latest song, album, etc, that allows you to purchase the album and have it sent to your house. You can put profitable QR codes on just about any poster that you plan to put out on this planet. These are just some ideas to selling tickets with QR codes (and then of course selling albums). I m sure you can think of many more.

11 Outro Hey :-), this is the end of this short little book, on out of the box thinking about QR codes, written on Christmas Morning (oh crap... it s 2:22 am). I hope you got a lot of value out of this. Again, this is just some things that were running through my head, some profitable ideas, that I thought you might be able to take and run with. I know some of them may already be in use (and thats cool...) but I hope I was able to play with your mind a bit, and give you some new ideas. Laters :) Caleb
