SECTION 03 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION ACUTE TOXICITY ORAL TOXICITY: DERMAL TOXICITY: irritation. Possible skin or eye irritation Ingestion of large amounts may cause gastrointestinal distress Silica and glass dust may cause skin irritation. Silica has been linked to severe eye INHALATION TOXICITY: Inhalation of silica dust has been linked to the following health effects: Cough, wheezing, breathing difficulty, decreased pulmonary function, progressive respiratory symptoms leading to silicosis, and lung cancer. Inhalation of zinc oxide fume (produced by combustion of zinc metal) can cause metal fume fever and pneumonitis. The effects of zinc oxide dust are less severe. SENSITIZER: No evidence was found of silica or other components acting as a sensitizer. DOT CORROSIVE: No data found.

3 PRIMARY ROUTE(S) OF ENTRY: Inhalation, skin, and eye contact. SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE - SYMPTOMS OF INGESTION: Ingestion of large amounts may cause gastrointestinal disturbances. SYMPTOMS OF INHALATION: Effects of inhalation include severe shortness of breath following physical exertion, severe cough, fatigue, eye irritation, fever, chills, tightness of chest, and other pulmonary changes. SYMPTOMS OF SKIN CONTACT: Silica dust can cause skin irritation in some individuals. Prolonged exposure to zinc oxide can cause dermatitis. SYMPTOMS OF EYE CONTACT: Eye contact can cause severe pain. Prolonged exposure to high concentrations of zinc oxide can cause conjunctivitis. MEDICAL CONDITIONS AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE: All respiratory or lung conditions, including asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema. MISCELLANEOUS TOXICITY: No Data Found CARCINOGENICITY: (for Crystalline Silica - Quartz and Cristobalite) NTP: K - Known to be a Human Carcinogen. TLV: A2 - Suspected Human Carcinogen. NIOSH/OSHA: X - Carcinogen defined with no further categorization SECTION 04 - FIRST AID MEASURES FIRST AID FOR INGESTION: If any discomfort occurs, contact a physician. FIRST AID FOR INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably mouth-to-mouth. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Contact a physician. FIRST AID FOR SKIN CONTACT: physician. Wash clothing before reuse. Wash skin with soap and water. If severe discomfort occurs, call a FIRST AID FOR EYE CONTACT: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Contact a physician if discomfort continues. EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES: Remove from exposure. Remove contaminated clothing. For eye contact, flush affected area with water. Obtain medical attention if discomfort continues.
