4 AN UNIQUE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT CENTRE Snam has established a world-class Research & Development Centre, the first of its kind in Asia at Hosur, India. The Centre houses a modern mini foundry, Spectro Lab and is well equipped with the latest testing facilities to meet the burgeoning demands of Snam s product range. Providing distinct solutions for foundry customers and aiding the foundries and customers in developing the prototype will be one of the prime objectives of this Centre. GOLD STANDARDS IN QUALITY MANAGEMENT Snam has ramped up the production facilities and implemented the best Quality Management Systems like ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 standard for its environment management systems and OHSAS 18001:2007 standard for occupation safety and health management systems. Snam has also implemented management systems in line with: European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and follows the CII EXIM bank model. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) has also been successfully adopted.
