different age buckets. For further investigations, you can drill-down the analysis to multiple levels, up to the bill level. 1.2.5 Drill-Down Reports ORMBA now introduces drill-down reports that allow you to analyze data to a granular level. You can drill down data in an analysis to multiple levels (up to a maximum of four levels currently), thereby making the dashboard highly interactive. The drill-down reports are currently available in the following dashboards: Financial Transactions Billable Charges Pricing Billing Operations 1.2.6 Mobile App With this release, we have introduced a mobile application for ORMBA Dashboards. Executive users can now monitor KPIs and metrics in real-time on their smart phones and tablets with the availability of mobile app for Executive Summary Dashboard. 1.3 Administration UI This section details the major features introduced in this release of ORMB Analytics Administration user interface. 1.3.1 Source Instance-specific Parameters The Source Instance page of ORMBA Admin UI now includes two new parameters: Algorithm used for writeoff: Specify the name of the ORMB algorithm for petty write-off. The algorithm resolves the Adjustment Type that identifies the petty write-off. Threshold for bill amount: Specify the threshold value for bill amount that classifies a bill as High. The amount is specified in corporate currency. 1.3.2 Source Table Partitioning The Source Table Definition page of ORMBA Admin UI now includes a new field called Volume Indicator that decides the table partitioning strategy for a newly added source table. The possible values for the field and their corresponding strategies are: High Table will have sub partitions Medium Table will have primary partitions Low Table will not have partitions 1.4 Modeling and Simulation The following features are introduced in Modeling module of ORMBA: 1.4.1 Graphical Comparison of Models ORMBA allows comparison of saved models. With this release, ORMBA introduces graphical comparison of saved models. The graphical view offers a more user-friendly way of representing the differences between the saved models. 1.4.2 Workflow for Models The models created in ORMBA now go through an approval workflow before they are applied back on the source system. This ensures smooth integration with ORMB and avoids the need for manual applyback (explained in section 1.4.3). The newly created model first needs approval from management and after consultation with the customer, the model needs approval on their behalf. Once accepted, you can apply the model back to the source system. You can see the various status of a model in the image below. With this release, you can define the validity period of a model, after which the model is expired, and you can no longer edit the model. 10 Copyright 2016, Oracle and/or its affiliates. 1.4.3 Apply-back to ORMB ORMBA now introduces a provision for applying back the simulated models to the source system (ORMB). Currently the release includes an end-point for pointing to a service, along with a reference implementation that you can customize to suit your implementation-specific requirements. 1.5 Other Updates in This Release This section lists the product updates that are not visible, but has a direct impact on the product performance and usage. 1.5.1 Platform Upgrade With this release, ORMBA runs on Oracle 12c tech stack. 1.5.2 Installation Process Update We have updated the ORMBA installation process with this release, the major highlights of which are: A new sanctity check is introduced to validate the parameter values given in ormba.properties file during the initials steps of ETL installation itself. This prevents issues that may crop up at later stages of installation due to incorrect configurations of the ormba.properties file. The installation process now includes an option to decide the partitioning strategy for the tables in replication schema, so that we can avoid the unnecessary partition of data and the associated space overhead. You can decide the strategy based on the volume of data during initial data migration, or override this at table-level through Admin UI. Copyright 2016, Oracle and/or its affiliates.
