1. Project Name and Category Employment Exchanges Mission Mode Project ( EEMMP) under Government to Citizen (G2C). 2. Vision and Objectives The Vision Statement of the EEMMP is To Provide a national platform for interface between stakeholders for responsive, transparent and efficient employment services in order to meet skill needs of a dynamic economy Strategic Objective: To improve the employability of the job seekers registered with Employment Exchanges Main objectives: 1. To collect and disseminate information on employment and training, to job seekers and employers in organized and unorganized sector so as to ensure a proper balance between the demand and supply of workforce 2. To create easy and speedy access to services of employment exchanges for all the stakeholders 3. To provide relevant employment counseling, assessment of capabilities and vocational guidance services to job seekers in improving their employability 4. To obtain, provide accurate and quality Labour Market Information for planning and decision making in a timely manner. 3 of 5

Project description The Employment Exchange Mission Mode Project (EEMMP) is to improve the employment services which are rendered through a network of Employment Exchanges (EEs) across India. At the central level, the Directorate General Employment & Training (DGE&T) is the national level apex organization for development and coordination of programs related to employment services, vocational training and career development. At the state level, employment services are imparted through widespread network consisting of 1119 EEs/bureaus (including State EEs, special EEs for Women, SC/ST and PH) which fall under the purview of the State Government. 5. Services delivered by the project - Online Registration for job seekers - Vocational guidance - Placements for job seekers - Preparation of statistical reports / statements and collection of employment market information from employers. 6. Present Status of the project Study of As-Is and Best Practices completed and based on the gaps identified in the study interventions in terms of processes ( process re-engineering), people ( change management and capacity building) and technology ( ICT solution) have been proposed. Detailed Project Report ( DPR) detailing out all these aspects has been submitted to the Ministry. On approval of the DPR, implementation of the project commences. It will be done in two stages in Stage I project will be implemented at Centre(DGE&T) and selected five states of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Haryana, Rajasthan and Orissa. In Stage II it will be rolled out in remaining states. 4 of 5
