Set machines cutting angles, depths, speed and feed rates according to production plans. Start up machines to engage their operating mechanisms, including cooling, feeding and lubricating components. Cut or form the material according to plans and then inspect a cut or form for accuracy using measuring instruments such as rules and templates prior to each day s full production. Check machine for operating malfunctions or final product defects while cutting or forming throughout the day to ensure it continues to cut or form material per specifications; make any necessary repairs or adjustments. Works where I was trained as journeyman and completed my apprenticeship as Machine and Tool setter. Due to the vast diversity of the work I physically done as Setter I decided to progress into a more challenging career. I started in the field of materials planning and Mrp (materials requirement planning) computer systems. At that stage the system was very new and I had to help with implementing the system and getting all Departments to cooperate. This I found very satisfying as it was more of a challenge as working on high precision machines. I also did procurement management course as this would help me with the day to day activities of ordering and sourcing different materials. This also tied in nicely with my personality as I love working with people and could see the result of my labor every day, from the new orders arriving in the company, to the finished product leaving the door and then of course, making a profit as well. As this was a high output Company s the windows Computer system was also starting to develop. I was trained in house to use the system and is well trained on Excel, word and power point presentations. Looking back I believe I have come a long way in the manufacturing industry. I also had my own business selling Cellular phones and accessories and repairing damaged cellular phones. I know due to my vast experience I will be an asset to any Company that employs me.
