SMART PACKAGE UNITS Delivering an extensive range, with capacities starting from 11kW up to 270kW and incorporating inverter technology throughout our roof top package units. Providing a genuine solution for a variety of projects, PacAir air-cooled SMART package units can be more economical and efficient than a chiller plant for a similar type of commercial installation. This is achieved by the use of an inverter capacity scroll compressor, electronically commutated fans, free-cooling and reduced installation time. This means a SMARTPAC solution can form an integral part of a medium to long term sustainable energy strategy and help stores reduce their carbon footprint. An evolution in design and custom engineered solutions for small, medium and large sized air conditioning applications, our SMART package units are technology and efficiency from tomorrow, delivered today. Pacific HVAC Engineering are dedicated to providing market leading innovations and new technologies that are easy-touse solutions with the goal to always offer our client reduced energy outlay whilst empowering complete control to customize the solution for their business. SHOPPING CENTRES, TENANCY FITOUTS, UNIVERSITY AND OFFICE BUILDINGS High efficiency INVERTER scroll compressor technology combined with electronically commutated (EC) supply and condenser fans. A smart package unit capable of managing the strategy to deliver the most efficient cooling method on the market via inverter compressor, variable supply and condenser air, fresh air management and free cooling. PacAir RTU s are designed to operate from -15.0 C to 50.0 C ambient conditions. They are manufactured from double skin panels, ensuring thermal protection and longevity of equipment. Meeting MEPS regulations, AS3666 and AS3000 and incorporating an economizer as standard throughout, the entire range will ensure customer satisfaction. The high level interface (HLI) controller will monitor space conditions and control air quality through an integrated CO2 probe, ambient conditions, humidity, free-cooling and complete variable capacity control, providing precise comfort and a reduced energy footprint. Incorporating intelligent control technology with market leading inverter and EC components throughout the SMARTPAC range.

COMPRESSOR(S) Maximum electrical power is only required for certain periods of operation, maximum efficiency when operating at part load operation is essential. Continuous modulating control is obtained by using a compressor with inverter technolgy, which adapts to the actual requirements of the building load and space served. DISPLAY User friendly wall mounted touch screen display pad, easy to understand menu, adjustable temperature set-point and display of current space temperature and humidity through its built-in sensors, 365/weekly/daily programming with after-hours control and fault status. ELECTRONIC EXPANSION VALVE Optimum control of superheat at varying operating conditions, providing outstanding comfort with indoor air temperature and humidity control. EXV increased efficiencies by lowering head pressure and optimum refrigerant supply to the heat exchanger coils. FAN(S) The selection of electronically commutated (EC) brushless motors reduces acoustics, heat and wasted energy. Allowing the EC fans to adjust speed by means of the condensing pressure or supply air temperature. Modulating the speed based on the actual requirements, maximizing the energy efficiency of the cooling circuit and simultaneously reducing the electrical load. The decreased air volume also has a significant effect on the reduced acoustic levels. With seasonal and night time functions continually controlled by the intelligent controller, allowing the unit to operate when maximum cooling or heating capacity is not required, saving power and reducing operating costs. HIGH LEVEL INTERFACE CONTROLS PacAir RTU SMART controller can easily be integrated into Building Management Systems (BMS) that use BacNET IP as a communication protocol. Monitoring the SMARTPAC at high level, communicating to adjust set points, airflows, operating times, after hours and monitor any faults, alarms and the filter status. The serial connection port is built-in to the electronic board and is a standard feature throughout the range. SMARTPAC is also equipped with an IQ controller for the automatic control of all operating conditions, ambient temperature, humidity, CO 2 and incorporates functions to maintain space conditions and optimize the running cost of the PacAir RTU all year round. With advanced maintenance and service functions scheduled, this package unit is setting a new level of expectations in the market. FREE-COOLING As external ambient conditions change, the opportunity to provide free-cooling is incorporated into our high level interface controller. The unit is capable of automatically activating the free-cooling mode when conditions meet the controls internal algorithm and space conditions. Keeping the compressors off and drawing in suitably filtered fresh air allows to cool the space. This operating mode is especially useful during cooler periods and night time operation when high ambient conditions are reduced. It allows substantial reduction of the unit energy consumption. R410A COIL TREATMENT Condenser coils are treated as standard with Aeris Coil Treatment. The evaporator coil can be treated as required and is optional based on project requirements. REFRIGERANT ECO friendly R410a or R32a refrigerant is available. Package units are pre-charged. FILTERS AND PLENUM G4 pre-filter and F7 high filteration as standard. Optional F5/F6/F7 50 or 100mm panel filters available or H10 electronic filter systems.

REDUCED OPERATING COSTS AND ACOUSTICS The SMARTPAC s controller, cooling circuit, EC fans and high capacity filter sections provide the most efficient operating costs on the market. It is possible to achieve seasonal efficiencies by selecting and purchasing the best units the market has to offer. Reduced electrical consumption of up to 60% in comparison to traditional DOL solutions. As a result, this also reduces operating costs and the environmental impact of the system, achieved by reducing the amount of energy required for normal operation. With a small, compact footprint, easy access to all components an easy replacement solution for old units. Reduced maintenance costs with dirty or fouled-filter detection through the controller interfacing with the BMS. Commissioning, service and maintenance contracts, as the Pacific HVAC Engineering Service Division is at your disposal. F A N S C O M P R E S S O R M A X LIFECYCLE INCREASED The external rotor electric motor is driven by the continuous magnetic switching of the stator. The advantages are the lack of brushes and the particular power supply increase efficiency by 70%. The lifecycle increases, thanks to the elimination of the brushes natural abrasive erosion effect. The electronic control also includes a soft start solution, which drastically reduces the starting current of the fan and limits even more the system s electrical commitment.
