7. QUESTION PERIOD Questions by Council Councillor Austin regarding dimensions of parkette including proximity to roadway and maintenance and provisions of development charges by-law. Councillor Burns regarding type of fencing that may be erected and whether there will be fencing along the back yards of properties adjacent to Block "C". Deputy Mayor Gilmer regarding single access from Strachan Street to address emergency services access. Mayor Thompson regarding location of exit laneways and clarification on fencing requirements including along the easement/block "C". Councillor Turck regarding fire and emergency services response time and need for sprinkler systems to be installed in all houses and development charges. Mr. Sean Mason provided a verbal response to the concerns raised indicating that based on the separation distance of the dwellings sprinklers are not required or mandated by the Ontario Building Code; current development charges do not cover added costs for sprinkler systems, dwelling design is marketable and property would be developed in a manner that is responsive and attractive to the area; misconception that the Condo owners own the easement, but the fence and easement is legally owned by AON; and inclusion of covenants to address fencing issues including styles, materials and locations and to restrict back yard sheds and installation of sidewalks on Lakeshore Road. Mr. Brad Smith reported on the appeal period on Williams Port Little Creek and willingness to work with residents to relieve Condo Corporation from obligations to pay for the park, in exchange for relieving obligation to build it. Questions from Members of the Public Councillor M. Ellis provided information on the process as follows: Page 4 of 5
