JOB TITLE: CNC Tech REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor DATE: 05/2018 The CNC Tech is responsible for using Building Blocks software to generate program code that controls the operation of CNC machines at both locations. Able to safely set up machines and programming using Building Blocks software. Read work order to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, dimensions and tolerances, proper labelling of parts, etc., and accurately complete all required functions to ensure only quality product is produced. Accurately document/ record information. Read a tape measure to take critical measurements. Control offcuts to minimize raw material waste. Work closely with production staff to ensure timelines are met. Highlight potential quality issues and follow up with production staff to ensure verification. Control and update CNC program database. Practice safe and proper use of machinery and tools. Report any hazardous or substandard items to the plant manager or supervisor immediately so corrective action can be taken. Support the health and safety program. JOB TITLE: Production Worker 1 (PW1) REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor DATE: 04/2018 The Production Worker I, is to operate equipment and/or carry out material handling functions in line with work procedures for a work station; ensuring quality and production levels as per company standards. After receiving training and instruction, work in the assigned work station(s). Move to where the work is. Work as a team member helping others. Work assignments in the plant will change from time to time. Operate machinery and undertake any material handling duties as per the standard operating procedures. Ensure that all are guards and safety devices are in place prior to operations. Attention to quality identify production/quality issues to the supervisor; take action on individual product quality issues, do not pass on to next work station. Work efficiently (smart) to minimize cycle times, in order to meet production targets. Follow procedures as it relate to the flow of products through the work station Expedite reworks, addons, valances and accessories in order to complete orders Follow and update the production schedules Complete any required documentation Move to other workstations to help others when appropriate or as directed. The PW2 plays an important role in helping to ensure a steady, efficient production flow, including collecting information and assisting in identifying and solving problems and making improvements. Operate machinery and undertake any material handling duties in a safe and efficient manner. Able to operate the programs, can address most operational issues/errors and trains other operators. Coordinate the flow of product through the work station. Ensure orders are process in priority order so to meet any scheduling targets. Help manage bottle necks in the work area; move to where the work. Promote team work and helping others so to ensure a smooth flow of work through the Press room and so that quality control functions are being carried out properly. Identify issues, assist in problem solving and in making improvements Carry out housekeeping activities, attention to quality, minimize waste and ensure that the equipment is well maintained and operated properly. The PW2 plays an important role in helping to ensure a steady, efficient production flow, including collecting information and assisting in identifying and solving problems and making improvements. Operate machinery and undertake any material handling duties in a safe and efficient manner. Able to operate most of the programs, can address most operational issues/errors and trains other operators. Coordinate the flow of product through the work station. Attention is given to the management of add-ons, reworks, glass doors and orders so to meet production deadlines. Collects and records daily production data for several workstations. Processes orders (add-ons, reworks, and selected orders) for the routers including entering data, nesting orders, and preparing floor copies. JOB TITLE: Shipper REPORTS TO: Scheduling and Shipping Manager DATE: 04/2018 The shipper will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. He/she must load and unload shipments regularly, with the capability of repetitive heavy lifting, and use any necessary equipment. Other responsibilities will include record keeping, the inspection of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify contents and quality. Operate equipment to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas. Prepares shipments using stretch wrap. Accurate loading/ unloading of deliveries. Lift/ carry products according to documented procedures. Able to lift 50+ lbs. Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages. Report defective materials to scheduling and shipping manager. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition following prescribed safety regulations. May be required to assist with scheduling freight appointments. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILS: Working experience in a shipping role. Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting. Able to communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to weigh and measure.
