All the villages of Daman and Diu Districts are already electrified, having approach roads and drinking water facilities due to which the living standard of life of this territory people is higher than that of other state of the country. 2

Way towards Sustainable Development Priorities for 2018-19 6

Overall thrust in UT for 2018-19 in rural - Poverty poverty eradication though reduction livelihood support with formation of Self Help Groups with high priority on Mission Antodaya clusters and SAGY GP. - The state has proposed to form 180 SHGs in FY 2018-19. - Placement linked Skill training for the rural youth is underway with help of PMKV -Y. Pucca houses for all SECC eligible families under PMAY (G) by 2020. The State has proposed construction of 342 rural Houses in FY 2018-19. - The Union Territory has been declared ODF in October 2017 and now is working on ODF+ (Solid and liquid waste management) across the UT. Effective implementation of social assistance/protection schemes (NSAP) including Old age Pension, widow pension and disabled pension for at least 4719 beneficiaries will be covered in 2018-19 7

Key Priorities National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) IB-CB Promotion & Strengthening of SHGs and VOs strategy for promotion, capacity building, book keeping & auditing Expansion Plan : Focus on Mission Antodaya Clusters : A target of 25 Self Help Groups for each clusters of Magarwada GP and Damanwada GP SAGY Village- Pariyari and in Diu Vanakabara Village The next CRP rounds are planned specifically for Mission Antodaya Gram Panchayats. CRP Rounds will be conducted in all the priority GPs with the help of GLPC, Gujarat for promotion of SHGs and Village Organisation (VO) Focus to develop Village facilitators,internal CRPs, at Block level. 12

Focus on setting up more training centres & placement opportunity. And also focus on setting up new Pharma Institutes & Hotel Management Institutes. 14
