Job Description: Job Title: Report To: Department: Ecommerce Photographer and Digital Retoucher Ecommerce Photography Supervisor Ecommerce Manager Ecommerce 1. Job Summary To assist the Ecommerce Photography Team in all aspects of the role involving photography, videography, retouching of images in Adobe Photoshop, editing videos in Adobe Premiere Pro, up-loading of images to the website and image libraries and ensuring existing images on the site are of a consistent high standard. 2. Specific Responsibilities 2.1 Prepare photographic studios and all necessary equipment for the shooting of Ecommerce imagery. Prepare and style products within this setting adhering to brand guidelines. 2.2 Photograph products in a timely manner with regard to weekly targets and deadlines. 2.3 Using Capture One software, create styles for shoots and process images ready for retouch. 2.4 Ensure sample collections are photographed ahead of the season. 2.5 Co-ordinate seasonal model shoots, selecting appropriate shooting styles, directing models and stylists, processing and colour-correcting images. 2.6 Produce product and garment videos, adhering to an agreed set of objectives, documenting relevant set-ups and techniques. 2.7 Use Adobe Photoshop in the post-production of imagery, retouching to a consistent high standard following set guidelines. 2.8 Monitor the online product imagery to ensure it is of a high standard and in-keeping with the brand. 2.9 Housekeep work efficiently, and maintain daily records of studio output. 2.10 Assist in the upload of images to the website and across company servers. 2.11 Work to set briefs outlined by internal clients and ensure deadlines are met. 2.12 Research current trends within product photography, developing new a more efficient ways of working, taking website objectives into consideration. 2.13 To provide assistance to the Senior Photographer and Photography Supervisor in training and mentoring new team members. Strong technical knowledge of cameras, lenses and lighting. Previous demonstrable experience in product photography and model photography in a studio environment. Experience in digital retouching and raw / digital workflow. Experience in colour correction. Excellent understanding and experience of Adobe Photoshop and Capture One Pro. Experience in videography using DSLRs. Good communication skills; both written and verbal. Strong organisational skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to plan, organise and prioritise to set deadlines. Interest in fashion and photography. DESIRABLE A full, current UK driving licence. Model photography on location. Competent user of Adobe Premiere Pro. Additional Information: Employee Benefits: Salary: The agreed starting salary for this post will be discussed at the interview stage. Pension: All Paul Smith employees that meet the criteria will be automatically enrolled into the corporate Pension Scheme with the provider, Scottish Widows. Please note there is a 3 month postponement for auto-enrolment for new starters. Hours of Work: This post is based on a 5 day week of 37.5 hours. Monday to Friday inclusive: Start time: from 8.00am up to 10.00am Finish time: from 4.00pm up to 6.00pm Core time is: 10.00am 4.00pm Flexi-time is available as above, with half an hour, minimum for lunch each day (1 hour maximum). Contractual hours must be fulfilled each week. Annual Leave: Your annual leave entitlement is 28 days, inclusive of Bank Holidays, increasing to 33 days, inclusive of Bank Holidays after 6 years service. The annual leave year commences on January 1 st and new staff receive their annual leave allowance on joining the Company. Holiday entitlement for part time staff is calculated on a pro-rata basis. Clothing Allowance: This post attracts a Clothing Allowance of 250.00 per season, for clothing from the Paul Smith Ltd. shops. Discount: Employees are eligible for a discretionary discount on PSL goods. Cycle Scheme: The Company offers eligible staff, the opportunity to ride a tax-free bike to work.
