ACCE S CENTENNIAL CONVENTION Sponsor & Exhibitor Prospectus Celebrating ACCE s 100 years of service to the chamber profession

Be a part of ACCE s history and help launch The Second Century where it all began: This year ACCE marks 100 years of service to chamber leaders, and the 2014 convention in Cincinnati will be the highlight of the year s festivities. The convention is the must-attend event of the chamber world and the largest gathering of chamber professionals in North America, but this year is special. We return to the city where ACCE was founded, Cincinnati, where our host, the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, also marks a major milestone: the 175th anniversary of its founding. Join our celebration and show top chamber executives from across the U.S. how you can help them lead their businesses and shape their communities. Hyperlocal Marketing via Chambers of Commerce With 1,200 member chambers, ACCE represents the leading business associations in 88 of the top 100 U.S. metro areas, and hundreds of other cities and towns. For our sponsors and exhibitors, ACCE s chambers alone represent $1 billion in buying power. More importantly, these chambers are a unique gateway to hard-to-reach local markets. Fundamental to all chambers is an enduring and influential connection with member businesses in their communities. In addition to $1 billion in buying power, ACCE s member chambers represent: 1.2 million businesses of every size and description Nearly 3 million executives 70 million employees According to a 2012 study conducted by the Schapiro Group, an Atlanta-based marketing consulting firm, chamber members are considered by the general public to be quality businesses. The study also revealed that consumers make positive assumptions about companies that are chamber members: 80% are more likely to buy from a chamber member 73% are more likely to be aware of a chamber member 68% are more likely to think highly of the reputation of a chamber member Cortera, Inc., a Boca Raton, Fla.-based company that provides credit information for businesses, reported that chamber members have credit ratings averaging 70 points higher than similar companies that are not chamber members. ACCE s Official Corporate Sponsors include these outstanding companies:

The Exhibit Hall Chamber executives look for new products and services they can offer or recommend to their members. Sponsorship Opportunities ACCE s Annual Convention is the best venue to market anything chamber- or business-related. This unique platform is your once-a-year chance to reach hundreds of chamber decision makers. Sponsorship opportunities tend to be snatched up quickly, and exhibit space is limited. It is especially important to reserve your space in advance. We maintain a waiting list as the exhibit hall fills up. ACCE offers multiple levels of sponsorship, and many custom options for sponsorship that will meet your needs. Plus, we are open to new ideas. Advertising Opportunities on ACCE s 2014 Convention App Last year ACCE s convention mobile app was used by more than 600 users and was one of the highest rated convention features. Many attendees downloaded the app days before their arrival and continued using it in the weeks after the meeting s close. We expect that more and more attendees will rely on their smart phones and tablets for convention information and updates. There are several advertising opportunities available on our mobile app to reach this unique audience: Banner Ads Banner ads populate pages across the entire app, appearing randomly on the bottom of pages except maps. Your banner can link to your exhibitor listing within the app or to an external website. ((show image with these examples)) The yellow area above the banner is a title but can be used for a short headline. The gray area below the banner allows for a message of 70 characters maximum. The banner itself must be 300 x 50 pixels, maximum size 500K, and it must be a jpg, gif or png file. Banners will appear on the app from launch in July through the Aug. 12-15 convention until September, at which time all banners will be removed. Banner Ad Pricing 1 ad: $400 2 ads: $750 3 ads: $1,000 4 ads: $1,300 5 ads: $1,500 6 ads: $1,600 Alerts Alerts are plain text messages that are sent to all attendees. Messages may include links. The message headline is limited to 100 characters, and the body of the message is limited to 200 characters. Alerts can be preloaded and scheduled for delivery on a date and time you choose. This will be done on a first come, first serve basis. Delivery of alerts depends on each user s connectivity: anytime a user with an internet connection opens the app, it will automatically refresh with new data. We cannot guarantee delivery times while onsite (Tuesday, Aug. 12, through Friday, Aug. 15), but we will do our best to accommodate your wishes. Alerts remain on the app for at least 24 hours. After 24 hours, some alerts may be deleted depending on volume or the discretion of ACCE. ACCE reserves the right to edit alerts or to decline publishing them, depending on content. Alerts are $300 each. How to Order Send an email, including your name, company, cell phone number and email address, plus any graphic files (banner ads must be 300 x 50 pixels, maximum size 500K, and they must be jpg, gif or png files) to convention@acce.org. Questions regarding banner ads or other app features also should be directed to this email address.

Rules and Regulations Exhibiting Codes and Agreements Exhibitor hereby agrees to be bound by all exposition rules and regulations. Exhibitor further agrees to adhere to and be bound by (i) all applicable fire, utility and building codes and regulations; (ii) any rules or regulations of the facility where the exposition is held; (iii) the terms of all leases and agreements between ACCE and the managers or owners of said facility; and (iv) the terms of any and all leases and agreements between ACCE and any other party relating to the exposition. Exhibitor shall not do, nor shall Exhibitor permit others to do, anything to the Booth or do anything in the facility which would cause a difference in conditions from those previously approved by the insurance carriers of ACCE, or the owners or managers of said facility, or which will in any way increase premiums payable by any of said parties for any such increase resulting from violation of this section. Space Assignments: It is ACCE s policy to award placement consideration by official corporate sponsors and convention sponsors, and then by the date registration form and payment were received, respectively. ACCE will use its best efforts to locate a booth in one of the locations requested by Exhibitor within the ACCE booth placement priority policy. Notwithstanding the above, ACCE reserves the right to change location assignments at any time. Exhibitors: 1. May not schedule private functions or events which conflict with officially scheduled ACCE educational, social or sponsor designated events, including receptions and networking opportunities. 2. Must confine activities to provided exhibit space, including distribution of samples, souvenirs, and the use of entertainers. Models and artisans are not permitted to perform or appear outside of the contracted booth space during show hours. 3. Agree to refrain from using objectionable amplifying equipment, intrusive lighting, equipment and/or decorations, live animals, and displays that obstruct other exhibits. 4. Will use only flame-retardant materials when decorating exhibit space. 5. Will not move or alter trade booth space. 6. Will set-up and break-down exhibits ONLY during official times designated by ACCE. If an exhibitor leaves the event before the official tear-down times, the company will be fined $750. 7. Will not dismantle or abandon reserved exhibit space during the hours the Exhibit Hall is officially open. Food and Beverage: ACCE considers food and beverage a very important part of the convention and for this reason accepts it as part of the Exhibitors marketing tools. Food and beverage may be dispensed from Exhibitors booths within the following guidelines: 1. Exhibitor must receive written approval from ACCE. 2. The distribution area must be kept clean and attractive. 3. Exhibitor must provide all attendees the opportunity to sample. 4. Any food or beverage distributed by Exhibitors must be arranged through the Convention Center in Cincinnati with prior approval by ACCE. Equipment: Booth equipment provided by ACCE and its contractors shall be returned to ACCE at the end of the term thereon, complete and in good condition. Exhibitor shall have no right, title or interest in such equipment, but only the right to use it under the Lease. All other equipment shall be provided by Exhibitor at its own expense. All draping and decorative materials used by Exhibitor shall be flameproof. All booth equipment shall be in keeping with and consistent with all rules, codes and regulations referred to under Exhibiting Codes and Agreements above. All demonstrations and displays shall be confined to the booth. Exclusion: ACCE shall have the right to exclude or to require modification of any display or demonstration which, at its sole discretion, it considers unsuitable or not in keeping with the character of the Exhibit Hall. ACCE shall have the right to demand modification of the appearance or dress of persons or mannequins used in connection with displays or demonstrations. Assignment and Sublease: Exhibitor shall not sublet the booth or any equipment provided by ACCE, nor shall Exhibitor assign this lease in whole or in part without written notice and approval from ACCE. Liability: This agreement shall not constitute or be considered a partnership, employeremployee relationship, joint venture, or agency between ACCE and Exhibitor. Exhibitor hereby agrees to and does indemnify, hold harmless and defend ACCE from and against any and all liability, responsibility, loss, damage, cost, or expense of any kind whatsoever (including but not limited to cost, interest and attorney s fees) which ACCE may incur, suffer, pay or be required to pay, incident to or arising directly or indirectly from any intentional or negligent act or omission by Exhibitor or any of its employees, servants, or agents. Exhibitor further agrees that ACCE and its representative agents and employees shall not be responsible for (i) damage, loss or destruction of property of Exhibitor or (ii) injury to Exhibitor or its representatives, agencies, employees, licensees, or invitees. Cancellation or Postponement of Exhibition: In the event that the Exhibit Hall is postponed due to any occurrence not occasioned by the conduct of ACCE or Exhibitor, whether such occurrence be a natural disaster or the common enemy or the result of war, riot, civil commotion, sovereign conduct, or the act or conduct of any person or persons not part or privy to this lease, then the performance of the parties under this agreement shall be excused for such period of time as it is reasonably necessary after such occurrence to remedy the effects thereof, and in any event for the duration of such postponement. In the event that such occurrence results in cancellation of the Exhibit Hall, the obligations of the parties under this agreement shall be automatically terminated and all rental payments made under this lease shall be refunded to the Exhibitor, less pro rata share of expenses actually incurred by ACCE in connection with the Exhibit Hall. Handling and Storage: ACCE and the owners or managers of the facility where the Exhibit Hall is to be held shall not accept or store display materials or empty crates, and Exhibitor shall make its own arrangements for shipping, delivery, receipt and storage of such materials and empty crates. Items Covered by ACCE: For Exhibitors, ACCE will provide one skirted table, two chairs, wastepaper basket, piping and draping of booth and a small sign (in addition to benefits outlined elsewhere in the Prospectus). Any booth space cancelled prior to May 15, 2014 will receive a full refund of all payments, minus a $125 processing fee. Beginning May 15, 2014, no refunds will be made. Under all circumstances, ACCE retains the right to resell any booth space cancelled by Exhibitor or forfeited where a balance or contract is overdue more than seven (7) business days.

ACCE History and Founding In 1948, the National Organization of Commercial Organization Secretaries (NACOS) changed its name to the American Chamber of Commerce Executives. A hundred years ago, chamber executives were called secretaries and the title prevailed well into the 1930s, when the word executive began seeping into new-fangled job titles such as executive vice president. Nomenclature for member organizations also evolved. Most members in the early days were chambers of commerce, but many (before changing their name to chamber of commerce) were registered as a board of trade, commercial club, or civic and commercial association. William George Bruce, second president of NACOS in 1915-16, wrote that NACOS had its beginning Oct. 10, 1906 in Binghamton, N.Y. Twenty-five secretaries coming from N.Y., Pa., and N.J. formed what was then known as the Inter-State Association of Commercial Executives. It later became the American Association of Commercial Executives (AACE). AACE represented chambers from Ithaca, Elmira, Syracuse, Cornell, Rochester, Buffalo, Binghamton, Atlantic City, Erie, Scranton, Harrisburg, and Wilkes- Barre. A similar association to AACE was formed three years later, in 1909, in Cincinnati. It was called the Central Association of Commercial Secretaries. In 1913 Christy Mead, AACE president, was authorized to confer with the Central Association about consolidating the two bodies. The amalgamation was finally consummated, Bruce wrote, at a 1914 meeting in Cincinnati, where Mead was elected first NACOS president. The first convention of the combined groups was held in St. Louis the following year. 1330 Braddock Place, Suite 300 Alexandria, VA 22314
