Technical Furniture Industries has the following specialized manufacturing divisions. Total Labworx is the specialized division for all laboratory related technical services to clients. Total Woodworx specializes in all type of wood related services for the clients and undertakes manufacturing of Reception counters, wall paneling, wooden shelving, interior fit outs, kitchen cabinetry and wooden maintenance works. Total Metalwork specializes in all type of metal fabrication, hand railing and related works for the clients. Total Maintenanceworx provides complete maintenance package for laboratories. Complete package includes consultancy, evaluation and rectification. We also undertakes annual maintenance contract for laboratories. Our Trading division s inventory covers laboratory service fittings of major international brands. We have extensive experience in a wide range of projects and offer services to customers from project inception through to completion and hand over. From initial site planning to manufacturing and final walk-through, TFI s team will help you design & implement your lab project to a smooth completion. All through from start to the final completion and handing over of the project, you work with the same person offering the same quality assistance, ensuring that you receive the optimum service. 5
Laboratory furniture Laboratory furniture is a series of various cabinet systems and work benches which offers the user optimum ease of use and stability. Our laboratory furniture is designed keeping in mind comfort, safety, ease of use and aesthetics, with functionality of the system given top priority. The components used are the most economical ones available at the same time not compromising on quality. Our systems range falls under 3 main furniture types. Basique Series Robuste Series Elastique series The type of furniture series is selected based on the nature of the laboratory. Basique Series In our Basique series, all cabinets are directly mounted on the floor. additional frame work support is not required. These support directly the work surface of your choice and provides economic layout where flexibility is not required 6
Robuste Series Robuste series is designed for heavier loads. For laboratories with heavy equipments the work tops are placed on metal frames. The work benches are extremely sturdy and can be loaded with 200kg/m2. Elastique series Worktops are mounted on cantilever frames in Elastique series, providing ample leg room. Under bench cupboards are mobile or suspended and can be moved without technical assistance. This series provides great flexibility to the user and clear access to the floor space. The furniture system to be used can be selected considering the nature of industry need, storage and space requirements, at the same time considering future additions or changes. 7

Epoxy resin Use: all types of laboratory workstations, fume cupboards. Advantages: resistance to chemicals, heat & flame Disadvantages: relatively expensive, limited color choice. Phenolic resin Use: wet rooms, benches with high impact, heavy use applications, industrial &scientific labs. Advantages: resistance to moisture, chemicals, fire and heat. Disadvantages: relatively expensive, low coating thickness. Melamine laminated plywood Use: dry laboratory benches, mobile tables, instrument benches. Advantages: flat, economical, choice of colors& widely available. Disadvantages: not suitable for wet areas, low chemical resistance. Compact laminate Use: wet rooms, laboratories with low chemical usage. Advantages: resistance to moisture & water, economical. Disadvantages: low chemical resistance Acrylic resin Use: areas where joint free tops are essential. Clean room workstations Advantages: seamless work tops, large range of colors. Disadvantages: low resistance to scratch, medium chemical resistance. Stainless steel Use: most types of laboratory workstations, fume cupboards, decontamination areas. Advantages: resistance to moisture, chemicals and temperature. ease of cleaning. Disadvantages: relatively expensive, sensitive to halogens, high electric conductivity Glass Use: most types of laboratory benches with large amount of chemicals Advantages: flat, high resistance to chemicals Disadvantages: sensitive to breaking. Especially edges. Stoneware Use: high chemical stress areas Advantages: lighter than ceramic, chemical resistance Disadvantages: low resistance for heat and impact. 13

Flowzone fume cupboards are manufactured with high quality raw materials and technical expertise. Cabinet material: 1.2 mm cold-rolling steel covered with electrostatic spraying after folding, welding, polishing, acid cleaning, phosphorization and chemical resistance. Inner liner panel: Imported from U.S.A., 6mm compact panel, acid and alkali resistant, temperature-resistant, anti-moisture. Guide plate: Imported from U.S.A, 6mm compact panel, reasonable and knock-down guide structure. Concentrated and effective discharge air, letting off different poisonous gas. Worktop: 19 mm thick solid epoxy resin worktop with 25 mm thick raised edge; acid and alkali resistant, anti-moisture. Impact resistant Sash: 6 mm thickness steel safe glass, it can be positioned at any level by pulling the handle. can be operated through sliding glass window when sash is closed. Lighting: Inside lighting with 30W antisepsis daylight lamp. Control panel: lighting switch, ON/OFF switch, two sets of 220V/10A versatile electric socket.
