To Whom It May Concern: RectorSeal s Warranty statement for firestop is contingent upon actual storage conditions and proper installation. If RectorSeal firestop products are correctly installed in accordance with our stated Manufacturers instructions and according to the UL tested systems, our products comply with UL 1479 "Fire Tests for Through-Penetration Firestop" and UL 2079 Test for Fire Resistance of Building Joint System standard requirements for Environmental Exposure Tests. This test relates to the performance of firestop products as originally installed, and compares to the performance testing after exposure to extreme temperatures and high humidity for an extended period of time. If properly stored, our products have a minimum shelf life of two years, subject to inspection with the exception of our silicone product which has a one year shelf life. The RectorSeal Corporation, manufacturer of Metacaulk, Bio Firesheild and Flamesafe firestop products, has always been concerned about the long-term performance of our products. We implemented a testing program prior to the UL s requirement for Fire Tests for Through- Penetration Firestop and UL 2079 Test for Fire Resistance of Building Joint System. We burned materials in our UL sanctioned fire test facility to measure the performance of RectorSeal products after extended periods of time as in accordance with current standards. Some of the tested materials exceed 15 years in age. Assuming that the substrate area surrounding the actual penetration or construction joint has not been damaged, we warrant that Metacaulk, Bio Firesheild and Flamesafe products will perform satisfactorily for the sustainable life of the building. Sincerely, RECTORSEAL Larry Kaiser Larry Kaiser Vice President of Sales Page 4

March 3, 2016 To Whom It May Concern: RectorSeal s Warranty Statement for our Smoke and Acoustical sealant is contingent upon actual storage conditions and proper installation. If properly stored, our RectorSeal Smoke and Acoustic Sealant has a minimum shelf life of two years, subject to inspection. Assuming that the substrate area surrounding the actual penetration/joint has not been damaged, we warrant that the RectorSeal Smoke and Acoustic Sealant product, when fully cured will perform satisfactorily for the sustainable life of the building. If there are any additional questions, do not hesitate to call our office at 800-231-3345. Respectfully, RECTORSEAL Terry Gossett Terry Gossett Technical Services Page 5

Product Description RectorSeal Track-Safe is a galvanized steel L shaped angle with an intumescent strip that permanently attaches to one side of a deep leg header track. RectorSeal Track-Safe Features Is designed for one side installation of fire resistive head of wall joints up to 2 hours F rating, RectorSeal Track- Safe angle provides complete dynamic movement with 100% unencumbered joint extension and compression capabilities as well as drift movement with zero fatigue of joint and firestop material on deep leg track in steel stud wall assemblies. Track-Safe is installed from only one side of the wall and is simply friction fit to the side of the header track. 2. Material Properties Asbestos Fillers Solvents Hazardous Ingredients None None None Size (Approx.) 5/8" x 1.5" x 10' 5/8" s 2.5" x 10' Activation of Intumescence: Expansion Begins 375 F (190 C) Expansion Greatest 575 F (302 C) to 1100 F (593 C) Color Freeze-Thaw Red Excellent 3. Applications RectorSeal Track-Safe is installed on dynamic and static head of wall & bottom of wall joints where deep leg track and steel studs are used. 4. Installation Data RectorSeal Track-Safe is simple to install. Install on only one side of wall assembly, friction fit by way of lightly tapping shorter leg of Track-Safe angle into joint between ceiling assembly and deep leg track so longer leg of Track-Safe angle extends vertically down outside edge of track. Joints can be butted or overlapped at seams. (A) (A) Applications with concrete deck 1. Install head of wall deep leg header track to concrete deck as recommended by track manufacturer. 2. On one side of track assembly, lightly tap angle into place so that the 5/8 leg of Track-Safe angle is friction fit between steel track and concrete deck so that intumescent tape is in contact with outside edge of deep leg track. a. Studs can be installed prior to or after Track-Safe installation. b. Track-Safe must be installed prior to gypsum board installation. 3. Joints between Track-Safe segments can be abutted tightly or overlapped. 4. Inside and outside corners must be overlapped by minimum of 1. 5. The 5/8 leg may be cut perpendicular to allow Track-Safe to follow radius walls. 6. No mechanical fastening of Track-Safe is required. 7. Install wall sheathing over Track-Safe to complete wall assembly. (B) Applications with fluted deck 1. Install head of wall deep leg header track to fluted deck as recommended by track manufacturer. 2. On one side of header track assembly, lightly tap angle into place so that the 5/8 leg of Track- Safe angle is friction fit between steel track and fluted deck so that intumescent tape is in contact with outside edge of deep leg track.
