Section Lead for Foundation Studies 16.15 per hour plus 4.03 holiday pay ( 10.09 per hour for non-teaching/meetings and staff development plus 2.52 holiday pay) equating to 20,151 per annum (pro rata) which is point L4b on the academic salary scale up to 17.84 per hour plus 4.46 holiday pay ( 11.15 per hour for meetings/non-teaching activities and Staff Development plus 2.79 holiday pay). This equates to 22,267 per annum (pro rata) which is point L6b on the academic salary scale. Please note that there is no payment for preparation time as this has already been accounted for within the hourly rate for teaching. Teaching will cover a range of animal care units as well as practical countryside skills. Experience of working with young people with a range of learning disabilities and difficulties is a must. A flexible and positive attitude is required alongside the ability to challenge and motivate

students. Teaching qualifications and an animal care (or similar) qualification are both desirable. The role promises a varied and interesting workload. The successful applicant will have plenty of vocational experience as well as being able to demonstrate good administrative and organisational abilities in order to perform the role. Person Specification: Educational Qualifications / Experience Essential Level 3 qualification (i.e. A-Level / NVQ Level 3 / Key Skills Level 3 / National Diploma / Advanced Apprenticeship. Experience of entry level teaching in an FE setting. Have experience of working with young people with SEND. Have vocational experience in one or more land-based subjects. An appropriate first aid qualification either First Aid at Work or Appointed Person. Desirable Assessment and verification qualifications and experience e.g. D32/ 33 / 34, or A1 awards.
