The RIAI and the BRE Academy present a series of BRE Academy BIM training courses leading to BRE BIM Membership for RIAI members. These courses are non-technical aimed at Project Leaders & Managers. The RIAI is offering this course to RIAI members because, as the use of BIM in construction projects increases, it is vital that architectural professionals take on the role of BIM Information Manager to complement their role as Design Team Leader. The RIAI are actively endorsing and promoting the use of UK PAS1192 standards in Ireland, and accreditation provides a means for companies to demonstrate their BIM capability. This is particularly relevant to practices delivering services in the UK & Northern Ireland, where BIM will be mandatory on public projects by 2016. The courses presented are as follows: Course Title & Description Course Date Stage 1* BIM AP (Level 2 Fundamentals) This course takes 2 days and ensures that you will have a basic understanding of BIM Level 2 including the use of information models, processes, standards, management and collaboration to achieve it. You will also develop a clear understanding of the job roles specified within the BIM Level 2 documentation. 2nd & 3rd February 2016 Stage 2* BIM Level 2 BS1192/2 Project Information Manager (PIM) & Task Information Management (TIM) This is a two day course aimed at those who are appointed to manage either the complete project information across all teams, or just for their own discipline-specific team. TBC *Both Stage 1 and Stage 2 will proceed dependant on demand. A full cohort of 25 members is required for each training course to proceed. Please see overleaf for details of how to reserve a place at these courses.
