Parking SMS Risk Ratings High Hazard Unacceptable level of risk. High Hazard Airport may have substantial property or financial loss if this risk is not resolved. Corrective action must be taken immediately to mitigate this risk or a, appropriate *restrictive barrier must be placed around this hazard until the hazard can be mitigated. A timeline must be completed. A timeline for a follow up review of the implemented actions must be scheduled. Examples include but are not limited to: electrical issues, life safety issues i.e. fire exits/alarms not functioning, escalator or elevator outages, tripping hazards, severe structural issues, standing water in high traffic areas that may cause bodily injury and any issue that required BSO involvement. *Depending on the traffic level, BCAD Risk Management recommends a 3.5 to 5 feet barricade Moderate Hazard Moderate Hazard Constant and continuous monitoring may be required to ensure the hazard does not escalate to a high hazard. Hazard may be located in a moderate to low traffic in area which may cause property damage or bodily injury. A timeline must be completed. A timeline for a follow up review of the implemented actions must be scheduled Examples include but are not limited to: signage issues, remedial structural issues, curbside/walkway/stop bar painting, cover/guards at the bottom of the escalators, gate arm repairs, vehicle damage issues and low traffic area standing water. Low Hazard Low Hazard These hazards may be cosmetic in nature and in a low traffic area. These hazards have a low likelihood of bodily injury, low likelihood of financial loss or minor property damage. These hazards can be resolved through a maintenance work order or direction to the BCAD s parking management company will mitigate. Examples include but are not limited to: protective coating painting, leveling bricks in low traffic walkways, and any other issue that may cause low financial loss or bodily injury.

Oversee A BCAD supervisor and agent must over see the mitigation efforts and verify compliance with the Risk management/ and safety division. Further review and oversight may be required to ensure the hazard/ issue remains controlled. Record PMC will record the hazard/ event/ issue in the daily report. And Supervisors will create an incident report for serious issues. Oversee Periodic review and oversight may be required to ensure the hazard/ issue remains controlled.
