Collection and Compilation of External Trade Statistics ONCE DATA ARRIVES TO THE NSD MAIN STEPS: 1. SAVE FILE 2. IMPORT DATA TO ACCESS DATABASE 3. SELECTION OF APPROPRIATE RECORDS FOR PROCESSING, USING PRE DEFINED QUERIES 4. CHECKING MONTHLY DATA SELECTED TO DETECT EVENTUAL ERRORS 5 SYSTEM QUERIES PRE DEFINED; OTHERS CAN BE DEFINED 5. EDITING DATA AND ADDRESS CUSTOMS TO CLARIFY/CORRECT ERRORS DETECTED IF NEEDED 6

Collection and Compilation of External Trade Statistics 6. SAVING PROVISIONAL MONTHLY DATA 7. APPENDING THE MONTHLY DATA TO AN AGGREGATE TABLE 8. FROM THIS AGGREGATE TABLE, PRODUCTION OF THE MONTHLY REPORT AND ANNUAL REPORT. 9. ACCORDING TO USERS NEEDS REPORTS CAN BE PRODUCED FOR OTHER PERIODS, FOR INSTANCE FOR QUARTERS. 7
