Distinctive patterns can be achieved by alternating the direction of the boards or utilising both the fi ne and the wide groove surfaces of the reversible profi le. Best of all, once installed, the deck will continue to look great throughout the years with only minimal maintenance. Colours that withstand time Deck sets new standards in colour durability. Unlike wood and other composites, it is virtually free of lignin, the natural molecule which causes wood and other natural fi bres to turn grey when exposed to sunlight. Resisting stains, reducing worries Deck features a non-brushed closed surface. Unlike wood and many other composite deckings, wine, oil and other liquid spills are not readily absorbed and can be easily cleaned. Whereas other decks need to be built on an incline to avoid water stains, Deck can be built fl at (zero degrees incline), due to its closed surface. In terms of maintenance, no sanding, varnishing, painting or staining is needed. In most cases brushing and the occasional jet wash is all that is required. Strength that is wonderful to the touch The principle polymer used in Deck is high performance polypropylene. Impact resistance in both hot and cold climates is exceptionally strong, and the deck surface has better scratch resistance than decks which feature a polyethylene composite surface. Despite this, the deck has a natural, almost soft feel to it. Closed deck surfaces can be achieved with Alu-Rail. Colour matching T-Clips ensure a seamless look as well as a long lasting fi xing solution. Cover Strip can be bent to fi t around curved deck areas, and Support Rail can be installed directly on the ground. A whole range of other smart accessories are listed at the back of the brochure. Positively helping the environment The principal materials used to make Deck are specially selected cellulose based fi bres and clean plastic polymers which, as by-products of other industrial processes, would otherwise be disposed of in landfi ll or incineration. Deck is PVC free and non toxic. By giving a second life to these materials, it is a great case of a good environmental solution resulting in better technical performance. No single board is exactly alike. In both Loggia and Lifecycle, such a natural look is achieved through the enriching of the natural colour tones with darker veins. Fine grain and texture The fi ne grained texture of Loggia and Lifecycle gives the deck boards a natural feel. Bare feet feel at home, and there is no danger of splinters. Every fibre double protected Both Loggia and Lifecycle undergo a two stage production process that ensures total fi bre protection. Unlike traditional WPC boards which have a brushed surface, the polymer shell remains intact on deck boards. This results in superior weather and stain resistance. Tough enough to take the knocks Loggia and Lifecycle have been engineered to have a high impact strength. CLASSIC DECK RANGE UPM PROFI LOGGIA & UPM PROFI LIFECYCLE The beauty of hardwood without the worries Loggia A luxurious wood look and feel, together with superior stain resistance, are the main characteristics of a new composite decking called Loggia. Manufactured from a blend of recycled and virgin cellulose fibres and polymers, Loggia offers enhanced lignin free colour durability. The decking boards closed surface also features superior resistance to spills and stains, and the encapsulation process ensures that the protection continues to the core. Loggia S2 is designed for both residential and harder wearing public decks. Its reversible profile features a natural wood grain surface on one side, and a fine grooved surface on the other. Loggia S1 is designed for residential use only and has a natural wood grain surface. Both profiles are available in three natural variegated colours. Lifecycle Lifecycle has the same luxurious look and feel as a real hardwood deck, and yet will keep its looks year after year with minimal maintenance. The patented production process results in an exceptionally stable solid board that is protected to the core. Enhanced encapsulation of the oak fi bres produces a closed surface which has superior resistance to spills and stains when compared to traditional WPC decks. However, when compared to plastic capped decking boards, Lifecycle retains a wonderful wood like surface texture that is a joy to touch. Lifecycle S2 is designed for both residential and harder wearing public decks. Its two-sided profile features a natural wood grain surface on both sides. Lifecycle S1 is designed for residential use only and has a natural wood grain surface. The Lifecycle range is available in a mix of variegated and solid natural colours. As the composite material is consistent from core to surface, the boards may be cut and profiled with beautiful results. 10

UPM PROFI FACADE LONG LASTING LOOKS Facade is a modern cladding solution for exterior wall paneling. It provides a clean and fresh look that will last over the years with a minimum of maintenance. The closed surface of Facade provides excellent resistance to the weather. Lignin free cellulose fi bres ensure long lasting colours. When compared to other exterior cladding materials, Facade also offers superior impact resistance. Before decks can be enjoyed, they have to be built. The Design and Classic Deck Ranges have been designed to facilitate smart installation. Cover Strips are fl exible enough to build beautiful curved deck borders. Deck Planner and Installation Video A stylish closed deck surface that is still easy to clean can be achieved with Alu Rail. Rubber Strip provides a typical yacht deck look and protects of dirt falling between the decking boards. T-Clips and Wing Clips match the deck board colours, and the large version allows 90 degree board fi xing. Foot range has double the height adjustment of other deck feet, and the height can even be altered after the joists have been laid. Support Rails are the perfect solution for installation on a hard fl at surface whereas Alu Support Rail Large enables suspended construction with a span between feet of up to 110 cm.
