Agenda 1. General Information 2. Functional Description 3. Realization in the System 4. Technical CV SAP 2009 / Page 8

Solution A: SAP Standard Change batch requirement to material level For stock transfer to plants w/o batch requirement (before upgrade ) via User-Exit a DUMMY batch is inserted For returns the correct batch has to be specified SAP service for changing batch requirement level (see next slide) Development effort depending on business processes Testing effort: Tests of all relevant processes

Solution A: SAP Standard Steps of the upgrade : 1) Analysis of your production system concerning master data and document data (done by SAP) 2) Sending the transport files to your attention (SAP) 3) Importing these files into your test system (done by your system administration) 4) Test on real data (copy of productive client)/test of processes by your key users 5) Adjustment of the tool if necessary (SAP) 6) Importing the tool into your production system (done by your system administration) 7) Conversion of your production system (standby possible if requested) 8) Analysis of your production system concerning consistent master data and document data after the conversion. Effort: detailed offer on request see note 533377

Solution B: Consulting Solution Batches on plant level Batch requirement stays at plant level Some additional restrictions (see next slide) ERP-EWM interfaces are adapted (modification) No official interface Should be only a temporary solution

Solution B: Consulting Solution Batches on plant level Requirements: EWM as a separate installation: No EWM on top of ERP installation Only SCM-EWM is running in this client (no other SCM component like APO etc.) Batches have to be created/changed in ERP (not possible in/from EWM) Identical batch requirement & information in all EWM managed plants/stor. locations (in this ERP client), i.e. A product has to be batch managed either in all plants or in no plant The characteristics (incl. values) for a batch have to be identical in all plants You have to ensure (by organization), that all batches are/stays identical in all connected plants No documentary batches possible All further EWM-standard limitations of batches (resp. processes with batches) still valid
