Preparation of monthly financial statements and productivity reports for management team and governing board; supervises business office. Is able to interpret financial statements to administrative officials and coordinate activities with other departments. Oversees the payroll process. Schedules personnel to keep the business office staffed at all times. Keeps an accurate ledger of monthly financial transactions. Prepares and submits financial reports to the governing board. Verifies invoices for accuracy, prints checks, and includes the claim vouchers to be taken to the board for review and signing. Assists posting clerks in the resolution of problems. Deals with patients with an extensive amount of stays, and verifies billing and payments. Trains, supervises, and orientates department employees effectively. Oversees the performance of all those involved in the business office. 1

Regulatory Requirements: Minimum of Associate s Degree in Accounting or Finance. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for educational requirements. Minimum of 4 years previous accounting experience. Ability to manage, train and motivate. Ability to work cooperatively with medical staff, patients and families. Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
