Colleague Connect Accessing HCC 1. Access to HCC is through Colleague Connect. To enter HCC simply navigate to Colleague Connect and click the My Colleague Connect Resources tile in the lower portion of the screen. 2

Colleague Connect Accessing HCC 2. Next, you will see the list of resources. Click on Compensation Planning System (HCC). 3. Once you click on the tile, you will see a pop up for a second level of authentication. Your User name will be prepopulated. Enter your Network/Windows Password and click OK to continue on to HCC. 3

The My Dashboard Page Widgets Organizational Chart: shows a summary view of your organization. Status of Active Processes: lists tasks associated with the year end compensation planning worksheet. My Tasks: lists tasks associated with the year end compensation planning worksheet. My Links: provides access to relevant internal sites. Decision Guides: may include embedded information on the compensation planning process, links to tutorials or other Mercerspecific information. 4

Total Compensation Planning Worksheet Accessing the Worksheet 1. Click the dropdown arrow. 3. Click Total Compensation Planning. 2. Mouse over Compensation in the drop down menu; a new menu will slide out to the right. 5

Total Compensation Planning Worksheet Select View The default view contains all available fields on the worksheet. Users can select from different public views or create private views to streamline the worksheet. To change the View, click Select View. When you click Select View, a drop down menu will appear. Select one of the views from the list. Refer to page 15 for a list of views and their descriptions. 6

Total Compensation Planning Worksheet Alerts Alerts: Different alerts appear in the first column of the Worksheet based on the recommendations entered. The most severe alert condition displays. Click an alert icon to display more information about the alert. Refer to page 16/17 for a list of alerts with their descriptions. 7

Total Compensation Planning Worksheet Columns The view is displayed at the top of the Worksheet. Users enter or edit each employee s compensation information in the editable white columns. Gray columns have static text, which cannot be edited. Refer to page 18/19 for a list of columns and their descriptions. 8

Total Compensation Planning Worksheet Filters, Export and Currency Click Show Filters to use filters to find specific employees or groups of employees on the Worksheet. To filter on multiple criteria in one column, separate the values with a comma. Click Reports to export the worksheet. To view various summaries of worksheet recommendations, click Mercer Worksheet Analysis (Currency Mode must be set to USD). Use the Currency button to generate the Currency Mode dialog box to change the currency for all employees on the Worksheet to a common currency. 9

Total Compensation Planning Worksheet Worksheet Summary Click Export to CSV or Export to Excel to extract the Worksheet Summary. The Worksheet Summary displays a summary, in USD, of the recommendations from the Worksheet including salary budgets, increases, promotions, bonuses and LTI. Note that only 1 April salary budgets are programmed into HCC. Salary Increase Budget is the sum of each employee's yearend base salary x budget % (excludes terminated employees). Bonus pools and LTI pools are not in the tool. 10

Total Compensation Planning Worksheet Matrix Role Supervisors in a matrix role can click the Indirect Reports view to toggle between the Worksheets of their direct reports and the Worksheets of employees in their matrix. Refer to page 20 for a list of Matrix roles and descriptions. 11

Reporting Accessing Reports 1. On the My Dashboard screen, click Reporting to navigate to the reporting tool and run standard Ad Hoc reports. 2. Review the pre populated list of Mercer specific reports. 3. Choose a report and click an export option. 12

Reporting Filtering and Running Reports 5. Choose to run a report online or offline. Reports summarizing more than the maximum number of rows of on screen viewable data must be run offline. To run a report offline, click the Report on All Rows of Data check box on the Step 2 screen. 4. In the Total Compensation Planning Step 1 Additional Filtering screen, enter any additional filters then click Run Filter to apply. Click Run Report to proceed to next step. 6. In the Step 2 screen, enter an encryption password and click Run Report on the bottom right corner of the screen. Refer to page 21 for a list of the Level_Descr fields and their definitions. 13

Reporting Receiving and Opening Offline Reports 7. Follow the on screen prompts to run the report offline. Users will receive an email message with the report attached in a zip file. 8. Click to open the zipped report file in the email. 9. Enter the encryption password to open and view the report. Refer to page 22/23 for a list of reports for all users and their descriptions. 14
