WHO WE ARE Ontario Natural Food Co-op (ONFC) was organized in 1976 by 11 Toronto area food co-ops and clubs. Since that time, we have grown to become a full-line distributor servicing the natural food channel. ONFC operates as a member-owned and directed wholesaler for its members. Our customers include natural food stores, retail co-ops, buying clubs, local independent community grocery stores, daycares, and non-profit organizations. ONFC s mission is to foster a sustainable food system. We do that by bringing products to market that are grown organically, locally, fairly traded and without the use of GMO s. Our products are naturally processed with a variety of health benefits including allergen-free ingredients. WHY ADVERTISE WITH ONFC? ADVERTISING IN OUR FLYERS ONFC features several themed flyers each quarter that are published between catalogue publications. Examples include Superbowl Sunday, Pancake Wednesday and our famous Canada Day Flyer. These flyers are electronically distributed to our contact list as well as available for download on our website at www.onfc.ca. Customers must contribute a deal that is subject to vendor approval. TRUCK FLEET ADVERTISING The average Canadian travels approximately 300 kilometers every week. This translates to one wrapped vehicle generating roughly 30,000 to 70,000 impressions EVERY DAY! If one ONFC wrapped vehicle has the potential to generate tens of thousands of impressions, just think of what a fleet of ONFC vehicles could do. ONFC delivery routes take our trucks all over Ontario. From Ottawa to North Bay, Niagara Falls to Barrie, there is nowhere that our trucks are not seen on the roads! Mobile advertising offers a unique media opportunity that is much more dynamic and versatile than standard billboard outdoor advertisements. ONFC s award winning CHFA Pavilion is located in the heart of the CHFA Expo East floor. With prime walk by traffic, and visitors from the industry s top retailers and brokers, our CHFA Pavilion is a hub of excitement at the CHFA Expo East. Each year we feature over 12 different ONFC Vendors. Some of the benefits of participating as an ONFC Pavilion Vendor include: The opportunity for our Pavilion Vendors to sample product in their own sampling station. Flyers unique to each Pavilion Vendor so they can book orders directly with customers. Expert Sales Reps take their key accounts to each Pavilion Vendor to sample their products and discuss their unique features with our top retailers. We are located in a high traffic, high profile area, great for the visibility of your products. 10
ADVERTISE ON OUR WEBSITE The ONFC website offers Retailers and Vendors the opportunity to reach out to a wide range of members, customers and other online viewers with interesting and dynamic banner ad space on a variety of pages within the ONFC site. The ONFC site typically sees 10,000 visitors each month and those visitors spend an average time of 5.4 minutes reading and absorbing the information available to them about ONFC, our products and our mission to be organic, natural and environmentally aware. When they re spending time on ONFC.ca, they re also spending time with our advertisers. All online ad spaces are available in two standard online advertising formats: Big Box and Leaderboard. All ads are ROS (run-of-site) ads and will be limited to a maximum of 3 advertisers per 3 month flight. 1. LEADER BOARD The standard size leader board (727Wx90H pixels) is located at the bottom of each page on the website. ONLINE ADVERTISING SPECIFICATIONS Sending Ads Ads will be accepted via email at kjarvis@onfc.ca (less than 5 MB), on ONFC s site, or by CD-rom. www.onfc.ca/ad/uploads ONFC can also retrieve ads from your FTP site. We accept GIFs, animated GIFs, and JPEG file formats. Submit images optimized to the lowest-possible bit depth using Photoshop. Maximum size per ad is 30 KB. For optimal display, onfc.com recommends using the browser-safe colour palette. Label discs and emails with ad name, company name, and address, and attach disc file directory. New ad units to be added or exchanged into an existing campaign may be submitted weekly. All ad units will launch a new browser window when clicked on. Ad Content ONFC reserves the right to approve all advertising on the onfc.ca site. DEADLINES Lead time for new ads is three business days which does not include receipt of funds for prepayment or processing time for credit approval. Changes to target URLs must be received three business days prior to scheduled ad campaign start date. Maximum length for campaigns is three months. Advertisers are offered first right of refusal for future campaigns. PRICING AND PAYMENT Pricing is subject to change without notice. Prepayment is required for all first-time advertisers. Ads will not be published until payment or credit approval is received. Production charges for additional artwork are billed at $150 per hour. Pricing includes final ad files provided by advertisers.
