About us The membership publication of the Biochemical Society, The Biochemist contains a mix of feature articles on matters of general scientific interest, letters, book reviews, meeting reports, careers information, policy issues, science education updates and literature reviews. It is backed by a sister publication, Biochemist e-volution, which is a daily news service for life scientists containing science news, job adverts, training dates, diary of events, membership news, grants/bursary information and the magazine archive. February 2012 April 2012 The membership magazine of the Biochemical Society, The Biochemist is an essential read for bio-scientists. Distributed to around 6500 members of the Biochemical Society throughout the world, it is one of the most highlyrespected life-science association magazines in the country. The Biochemist is posted to members six times a year and is kept for reference by about 70% of members. 98% of members read the magazine which is now also available in an e-publication format for digital access via the Biochemical Society s Members area. A substantial number of print copies have more than one reader, taking the estimated total readership to 15,000. Since 1997, The Biochemist is also available to nonmembers and libraries by subscription.
