Superior solutions for commercial, residential, industrial and special applications Each application segment presents its own unique energyrecovery challenges that must be met to ensure the best heat transfer results. Heatex is well aware of these challenges and applies its decades of expertise to provide innovative air to air heat exchanger solutions for commercial, residential, industrial, and special applications. Heatex is able to fulfill the particular indoor climate control requirements when installing units in shops, warehouses, private residences, apartment blocks, manufacturing and service facilities, for drying timber and cooling electronic equipment. Improving indoor air quality (IAQ) Proper ventilation is essential for healthy indoor air quality. Adequate IAQ involves many factors including heating or cooling depending on the local situation and climate, humidity control, and filtration of pollutants. Health issues in the home, such as breathing problems, can arise from air contaminated with dust, pollen, fungal spores, aerosol spray, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), paint, CO2, gas and wood fire fumes, tobacco smoke, cleaning agents, and cooking ingredients. Typical airborne particulate matter that must be removed from commercial and industrial buildings include paper fibers and inks from copiers and printers, packaging fibers, glues and adhesives, paint, welding fumes, and VOCs from a variety of products. 4

Cutting energy costs Many people remain unaware that air-to-air heat exchangers can significantly reduce energy costs of both the heating and cooling of internal areas. For example, during the heating process, the otherwise wasted heat energy is recovered by the heat exchanger. This process reduces the load on the central HVAC system, thus reducing energy costs. Energy within hot or cold air can be recovered and recycled to significantly reduce the total heating/cooling costs of numerous buildings. Compliance with relevant building codes Heat transfer within buildings and the maintenance of proper internal air quality are covered by various national and local building codes. Heatex s innovative air-to-air crossflow, counterflow, and rotary heat exchangers allow the customer to achieve the most suitable energy efficiency and temperatures for indoor climate control. Application types When choosing from the wide variety of air-to-air heat exchangers, Heatex Select is the most effective option for selecting the best model based on the specification. Alternatively, you can discuss the application requirements directly with Heatex. Being committed to excellence also means that the manufacturing is so flexible that we can produce models that are not in the standard offer. Essentially, Heatex heat exchangers cover: Ventilation heating and cooling Humidity control Light industrial processes Heat dissipation systems Drying for garmet industry Electronic cooling Crossflow and twin crossflow The single pass crossflow model provides an efficiency of up to 65-70% and covers applications requiring high effectiveness, extreme pressure differences, polluted air, and corrosive environments. The twin crossflow model can provide increased efficiency through its twostep arrangement along with the compactness, making it a good choice for many applications. All crossflow models are known for their stability, low weight, and compact design. Heatex also offers the largest range of plate spacing on the market to match the desired performance. Counterflow The inlet and outlet guides of the counterflow models improve surface air distribution while strategic insulation minimizes possible temperature conduction within the metal. This utilizes the maximum performance of the whole exchanger for all thermal conditions with up to 90% efficiency with certain models. Counterflow models may also be configured with different flow configurations to suit any application. One modelhas been specially designed for cooling electronic equipment. Heatex offers the largest range of plate spacing on the market to match the desired performance. 6

Rotating wheel Energy transfer using rotating wheel air-to-air heat exchangers is becoming more popular. Heatex offers an extensive range of design options and up to four different well/flute heights. With a choice of motors, the three models will meet the application and performance requirements. The innovative rotary exchangers have excellent roundness/balance of the wheels and have smooth and leveled air inlet and outlet sides. Two models include a casing that covers all six sides with plates, can be mounted either vertically or horizontally, and be supplied with an optional purge sector, and drive options. Highquality plate design and manufacturing Virtually all of our heat exchanger models have a special optimized pattern design, and can be fitted with an epoxy coating and powder-painted framework to allow high heat transfer and resist dust build up. Stainless steel versions are available for corrosive environments. We pride ourselves on the highquality designs and materials we use in manufacturing.
