ORACLE APPLICATIONS RELEASE 13 Spotlight on Supply Chain Collaboration Jon Chorley, CSO & GVP, Product Strategy Oracle Script 1 I m Jon Chorley, CSO and Group Vice President of Supply Chain Product Strategy for Oracle. In this video, I d like to tell you about some exciting new business-to-business collaboration capabilities that Oracle is introducing in Oracle Supply Chain Management Cloud. Today s global and outsourced supply chains depend upon strong trading relationships more than ever, yet most companies lack end-to-end visibility. Studies show that supply chain leaders are much more likely to collaborate with suppliers on forecasting and production activities, giving them a competitive advantage. Newly released in Release 13, Oracle Supply Chain Collaboration Cloud helps you: collaborate online with your key trading partners, orchestrate businessto-business processes, and interoperate with B2B service providers. Let s have a look at each of these capabilities. 2 3 4
First, let s look at collaboration capabilities. 5 Oracle Supply Chain Collaboration Cloud has an intuitive portal-based user interface for online collaboration. Partners get a consolidated view of their recent activity and required tasks. 6 7 They can enter their updates interactively, or upload them from spreadsheets if they prefer. 8
Enterprise users can review and respond to their changes immediately, supported by built-in social networking. 9 Now let s explore orchestration capabilities. 10 Oracle Supply Chain Collaboration Cloud manages each partner interaction as part of an end-to-end orchestration process. Two process types are supported in Release13. 11 Planning Collaboration lets you share order forecasts with tier-1 and tier-2 suppliers, and negotiate their commitments. Oracle Supply Chain Collaboration Cloud tracks any mismatches, alerts you to late or missing responses and handles mid-cycle updates. Contract Manufacturing Collaboration collects production updates from contract manufacturers, including component usage and quality information. Oracle Supply Chain Collaboration Cloud integrates these updates into Oracle Manufacturing Cloud, giving you greater control over the contract manufacturing process. 12 13
Finally, let s take a closer look at how you can interoperate with B2B service providers. 14 Some suppliers use B2B service providers to manage their trading partner communications. Rather than log on through the portal, they exchange standards-based EDI or XML messages. Oracle Supply Chain Collaboration Cloud s built-in Collaboration Messaging Framework interoperates seamlessly with these trading communities. Rather than implementing, testing, and troubleshooting communications with partners individually, Collaboration Messaging Framework uses a certified Cloud marketplace solution to connect to all of a B2B service provider s clients, saving you time and effort. 15 In Release 13, Oracle Supply Chain Collaboration Cloud is pre-integrated with Oracle Planning Central Cloud and Oracle Supply Planning Cloud for planning collaboration. It is also pre-integrated with Oracle Manufacturing Cloud for contract manufacturing collaboration. Setting up trading partners and processes is a simple, point-and-click process, so you can start improving the performance of your supplier relationships right away. 16
