The AC-12TR-S allows technicians to monitor all of the data during an autoclave test from a single control. The AC12TR-S monitors vessel pressure, vessel pressure high and low limit set points, vessel temperature, solution temperature, temperature high limit set points, furnace controller output, and test duration (in hours). The AC-12TR-S control can be used to control the temperature at which the autoclave is heated, and the RPM of the stirring motor (Cortest Autoclave Option). The AC-12TR-S Control uses the latest Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Touch Screen Display technology to manage and control an autoclave test effectively and
AC-12T Touch Screen Autoclave System Control Continued efficiently using a single control. The Touch Screen Autoclave Control features an eight inch color touch screen display, multiple different display screens, and an auditable alarm which alerts technicians if there is a potential problem with the test. The overview screen (right) of the AC-12TR-S shows the current operating conditions of the entire autoclave. From this screen, access to each individual control function can be achieved by pressing the appropriate button. Current vessel pressure, solution temperature, stirrer RPM s and timer hours are displayed in the yellow boxes. High temperature and vessel pressure alarms are displayed on this screen also. The on/off status of the heater control, stirrer control, timer control and the alarm status are all displayed in control status boxes on this screen. The temperature screen (left) displays all the information with regards to monitoring the temperature of the autoclave and the solution within the autoclave. The vessel temperature and solution temperature are displayed on this screen. The temperature set-point and high-limit set-point can be set on this screen and are displayed. The autoclave furnace can be turned on and off and the furnace output can be viewed from the temperature screen. The Cortest AC-12TR-S has a convenient timer control function that can be used to tell technicians how long a test has been running. The Timer screen (left) displays the duration of time in hours that the timer has been on. From the Timer screen technicians can start, stop, and reset the timer. The stirring option that is featured on most Cortest Autoclave Systems as an option is controlled from the Stirrer screen (left). The stirring motor RPM can be set from this screen by using a touch screen keypad. The stirring motor can be turned on and off from this screen also.
AC-12T Touch Screen Autoclave System Control Continued The pressure monitoring function of the AC-12TR-S is controlled via the Autoclave Pressure Alarm Control screen (left). On this screen the pressure high and low limits are set. An auditable alarm is tied to each of the set points. The pressure alarms are used to automatically turn the heating circuit off should the vessel pressure exceed the high limit set point or drop below the low limit set point. The Cortest AC-12TR-S features a programmable ramp/soak function. The controls for this function are spread over a series of screens (below). This function allows technicians to determine the ramp rate, up or down, and the soak time when bringing the autoclave to the temperature set point. There are 16 programmable ramp/soak steps. The ramp/soak function of the AC-12-TR-S does not have to be used to control the heating process of the autoclave, however it can be beneficial as it allows the system to be brought to temperature at a controlled rate over a controlled period of time set by the technician. Cortest Autoclave System Options Elevated system temperatures above 300 C (572 F) up to 550 C (1022 F) Elevated system pressures above 35 MPa (5,076 PSI) up to 137.9 MPa (20,000 PSI) Variable speed magnetic-drive stirring devices Rotating coupon holders Lid-lifting device 480 VAC three phase heating systems Custom port configurations Custom specimen racks Test media sampling system Gas pressure boosting pump Jet Impingement System PC control system with data acquisition Recirculating test loop for injection of chemicals **Cortest will custom design a system to meet your individual testing requirements**
