PURELABultra GUARANTEED WATER PURITY ELGA understands the importance of maintaining the highest purity consistently. The design of the PURELAB Ultra results from our tradition of close collaboration with research scientists in understanding their changing application requirements. As well as being a leader in laboratory water technology, as part of Veolia Water, we are able to combine an unrivalled knowledge of process water needs in the pharmaceutical, food, beverage and new electronic markets. The result is a combination of unique benefits only available in the PURELAB Ultra. Multi-stage Monitoring of resistivity gives the user greater economy, convenience and security. At the end of the first purification cartridge pack s life, it is replaced by the second pack, which in turn is replaced by a new pack. Therefore, a pack towards the end of its life is never the final purification stage. This allows better use of the media and removes the need to replace a pack the moment it indicates exhaustion. Sanitization can only be fully effective if all internal wetted components are included in the disinfection regime. The PURELAB Ultra uniquely provides this assurance. Automatic Pre-rinse on start-up purges static feedwater to maximize the long-term efficiency of the ultra-purification process. Particularly beneficial for polishing SDI deionized water feeds. Real Time TOC Monitoring is unique in the PURELAB Ultra giving confidence in the water quality you dispense. Validation is a key requirement in many laboratories. In addition to offering standard documentation packages to help meet GLP, FDA or other validation protocols, PURELAB Ultra incorporates key features to assist with system validation. PIN coded access to software set points prevents unauthorized changes to operation or system settings. Unique data tags provide full traceability and history of each cartridge for GLP and other validation requirements. RS232 data port to enable downloading of data to PC or printer. On board continuous calibration to traceable references to verify electronic circuitry. A MODEL TO MEET YOUR NEEDS Inside each system our dual purification cartridge packs incorporate high quality organic absorbents, ion exchange resins and membrane processes to purify the water to in order to meet ASTM Type I, ISO 3696, NCCLS Type I and USP25 specifications. There is a range of alternative media to polish the water to meet specific feedwater and application requirements. All models recirculate the pure water to maintain consistent peak quality. All PURELAB Ultra models polish purified feedwater, produced usually by reverse osmosis or deionization systems such as ELGA s PURELAB Prima or PURELAB Option. With five models in the PURELAB Ultra range you can choose a specification that delivers optimum water quality for your needs.
PURELAB Ultra Genetic and Bioscience Both models feature ultrafiltration which removes the requirement for DEPC treatment in applications such as DNA sequencing, PCR and electrophoresis and removes endotoxins making the purified water suitable for critical cell culture applications such as in-vitro fertilization and monoclonal antibody production. Full spectrum UV photo-oxidation technology in the PURELAB Ultra Genetic provides oxidation of organic contaminants at 185nm and excellent bacterial control. The product water is also suitable for many analytical applications. Assay of RNase in water Method: Incubate substrate E. coli 18S + 28S ribosomal RNA in various dilutions of RNase and samples of ultra-pure water. Separate resulting fragments of RNA by electrophoresis. Results: 1 2 3 4 5 1 1/10 10 RNase 2 1/10 11 RNase 3 1/10 12 RNase 4 DEPC Treated Water 5 PURELAB Ultra Genetic PURELAB Ultra Analytic and Ionic The PURELAB Ultra Analytic incorporates full spectrum UV photo-oxidation technology for oxidation of organic contaminants at 185nm plus bacteria control at 254nm, and ultra-microfiltration to remove colloids and bacteria. The purified water has extremely low levels of inorganic and organic contaminants for the most demanding HPLC, GC-MS and other ultratrace organic applications.
