Injury Review for October 2016 HR will provide the committee with an outline to ensure injuries are reported with sufficient detail. Committee members are expected to share this information with their respective departments. HR will provide committee an ergonomic model to reference as needed within their respective departments in an effort to mitigate repetitive industrial injuries. Ergonomic training for safety committee members and supervisors, details will be forthcoming. HR is looking into providing flash drives with important safety information to new hires. HR will be working with Transportation to place WC packets and first aid kits in all city vehicles. Injury Reporting Process 9. 4. Review ofnovember 17, 2016 minutes THURSDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2016 5. Identification of Hazardous Conditions/Safety Issues 6. Injury Review for November 2016 No injuries to report. HR met with Transportation on exploring the possibility of adding the vehicle accident and industrial injury reporting to an electronic base system via a tablet assigned to each city vehicle. This will ensure accuracy and timely submittal of this information to appropriate personnel. At the last meeting, the committee was presented with copies of the Company Nurse, Kaiser On the Job and the workers' compensation packet to assist in reporting of industrial injuries. The information generated questions post the meeting. In an effort to further assist with clarifying the information presented regarding this process HR will create a flow chart and distribute it at the next meeting. HR will be meeting with CJPIA's training coordinator in January 2017 in an effort to calendar the City's training for the year. The Ergonomic training for safety committee members and supervisors will be addressed at that meeting. CJPIA's Revised Sidewalk Inspection Program Loss Run Data: Workers' Compensation and Liability Program CJPIA Lesson Learned Report: City of Commerce Keenan will be joining our meeting in the New Year to provide information on their web-based training that will be available to all employees. 9.
